“Yeah, well...” She looked around for a moment, frowning. “I would find it difficult to forget you.” *** He looked up as Monty and Theo joined the group, frowning thoughtfully. “We should go check on Fina and Cassian...” *** She moved closer to him, deepening the kiss as her hands brushed along his neck. *** Monty frowned, looking at the group. “Are we going to talk?”
He tilted his head. "What do you mean?" *** She nodded, starting up the stairs. *** He pulled her close, his kisses gentle and slow. *** Theo sighed, sitting down on the couch.
“Exactly what I said,” she replied simply. “If it’s being forgotten that you are worried about, I’m telling you that I would find it very difficult to forget you.” *** He approached the door and opened it. “You guys oka-“ * * * He joined her. "We're going to have to sleep eventually."
"Because I've been mean to you?" *** Cassian pulled away quickly, sitting straight as he immediately composed himself. Lilith poked her head around Sylas, her eyes mischievous. "Sorry for.. interrupting." *** She shook her head slightly. "I'm not going to be able to any time soon."
She met his gaze, frowning. "No. You're my friend." * * * Fina blushed, hiding her face in Cassian's chest to hide her embarrassment. Sylas wooped, laughing deeply. "Go Cassian and Fina!" * * * He nodded in agreement.
He didn't seem convinced, sitting back and watching the fire. *** Cassian cleared his throat, looking up at them. Clearly he was embarrassed, but hid it well. "..Did you need something?" Lilith grinned. "Just checking up on you." *** She leaned against him. "What a day."
She frowned before leaning over and giving him a quick peck on the cheek before looking back into the fire. "You saved my life," she said quietly. "I don't take that lightly." * * * Sylas leaned against the doorframe, smug. "We're all in the living room, but we'll let you... get comfortable." Fina tossed a pillow at them and Sylas hooted, grabbing Lilith's hand and pulling her out. * * * He brushed his fingers through her hair. "Yeah. We gotta get home. This isn't sustainable."
He flushed, watching her. "I.. Huh." *** Cassian's blush returned as they closed the door, and he looked down at her wide-eyed. *** Lilith laughed as he pulled her out, her eyes bright. "Oh my God." *** She nodded, wrapping her arm around his waist.
She didn't look at him, her brow furrowed as she watched the fire. "You're not forgettable, Mav. Don't worry." * * * Fina looked up at him, her entire face pink. "Crap." * * * "Who would have thought that Ms. Prude and Stick-in-Ass Horreo were going at it like a couple of rabbits?" Sylas said with a laugh. "Jesus." * * * He kissed the top of her head, staying quiet.
He relaxed slightly, still observing her. "Thanks." *** He squinted at the door before going in for one last kiss. *** She laughed again, surprised by him. "Sylas! What if they heard you!"
She placed her hands between her knees, still frowning as she looked into the fire. * * * She laughed against his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck as she kissed him back. * * * "Would I be wrong?" He raised his voice so that Cass and Fina would be able to hear him. "Those two are freak-kay!"
He smiled slightly, looking at the fire with her. "I think you're quite unforgettable, too." *** He paused, flushing as he heard Sylas. "I think I hate him." *** Lilith rolled her eyes playfully before taking his hand. "C'mon."
She frowned, jerking her head to him, looking conflicted. * * * She laughed, her hands curled in his shirt. "Come on. Let's go to the others." * * * "Back to the living room?"
He didn't seem to notice, but looked over at her eventually. *** He nodded, standing up and offering his hand. *** She reached up to kiss his jaw. "If you want to."
She frowned, her dark brows furrowed uncertainly. "Because I'm mean?" * * * She took it, rubbing her eyes tiredly. * * * He smiled, turning his head towards her and resting his forehead on hers. "Come on," he said, taking her hand and leading her towards the living room.
He grinned. "No, of course not." *** They went back to the living room, Cassian holding her hand. *** She grinned at him, following happily.
She splayed her hands out on her knees, looking confused. "Then... why?" * * * They arrived back at the same time, and Sylas draped his arm over Lilith's shoulder while Fina squeezed Cass' hand.
"You're you, Theresa," he said. "You're my friend." *** Lilith wrapped her arms around him, her touch warm. Cassian pulled her close, yawning.
She looked at him for a moment before turning to the rest of the group. "Hi, everyone. Are we all doing okay?"
