Chrysalis felt his happiness and it almost felt like it was genuine. Maybe he does know she does care. She sighs and smiles happily once more.
"My queen, all the forces have made the shield stronger." An changeling said as he came in then looked at them. "I'll... come back later." He said and then left. Darky didn't noticed that he came in and just kept snuggling Chrysalis. He just wished this moment never ended. He then nuzzled her in her chest. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis does notice her changeling mention about the shield. She keeps part of her mind still focused on the shield, to prevent it from getting too weak.
Darky kept snuggling his queen. After a moment his stomach growled. "I'm hungry my queen, can we go and get something to eat?" He asked her politely. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis then nods, realizing that ponies actually need food unlike changelings. "Sure. Let's go eat something." She says with a smile. They go to the Royal Kitchen to get something to eat and fill their bellies. Chrysalis more or less didn't need to eat food but sometimes a bit of pony food was good to eat. Besides, liked eating with him too.
Darky smiled as he went to eat with her. He ordered an apple salad and started eating it happily. It was better that he remembered, and even beter by the fact that he was with Chrysalis eating. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis wonders what Twilight and the others are doing. Maybe they have given up and have just called it a day. That would be funny. Then again it was a bit too peaceful...
A changeling arrived to the kitchen. "My queen, the ponies have arrived to the crystal empire and the crystal heart is getting stronger." He said a bit nervous about what he just said. "The shield can hold their attacks like they are now, but if they get stronger it wont be able to hold." Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Queen Chrysalis then gets up and sighs. "I feared as much. I think it's time we begin a counter attack. If we can pool our energy, we can make this attack hit them where it hurts. I don't know if we will survive this but I just pray we do..." Chrysalis says, starting out strong, but softens her voice in worry.
Darky looked at her, she seemed... worried. "Is everything alright my queen?" He asked her a bit worried about her. Another changeling came. "My queen, we have a big problem." He said. "A group of ponies came to the hideout of Canterlot and took Luna away." The second changeling said. "We managed to capture one of the ponies. One of them died in battle and the rest escaped with the pincess." Luna... that name... it sounded familiar to Darky... Sent from my lovely princess Luna
"Those... idiots" Chrysalis's body was glowing again as her anger grew. She was ready to kill something. Without a word she rushes outside the Castle and her horn glows bright. She wasn't going to let those ponies get away with it! She builds her power to max and she fires a blast of energy at the Crystal Empire. While the blast fires, the ground around her shatters and pieces float all around her. She has had enough with the ponies messing with her. This all or nothing shot will be the determining factor.
The shot arrived to the crystal empire. The crystal heart made a barrier to protect them from the blast, but it soon broke and the blast hit the castle, destroying the upper part of it and the part that we hit fell to the ground, destroying a small part of the city. Chrysalis couldn't take anymore after the blast. It took all she had... she had nothing more. She falls over. Any pony trapped by her mind control also was free. If she had any choice, she would of kept Darky... but fate has other ideas. She merely cries and she let's what happens next be her punishment. The one things she could be happy about... she had power. She had control. She had it all but she wasted it on her own anger and fear.
Darky shook his head. "Wh-what happened?" He said to himself, then remembered everything. The block in his mind has broken and he was free again, but all the memories he had when he was a pet where still there. He looked around and remembered Chrysalis. Like it or not, he got a bit keen to her. Be quickly rushed to where she was and noticed that she was crying. "A-are you alright?" He asked her sitting by her side. He looked a bit worried about her. Twilight and her friends noticed that the shield in Canterlot had fallen. They and Twilight's brother rushed to take back Canterlot. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis then looks to see Darky sit near her. "Why do you sit by my side? You are free. Go back to your true love." She says in a soft and weak voice. "I don't want to fight anymore... I just want time to think..." She says, her heart obviously shattered and is rather distraught. She was in both physically and emotion pain, something she normally will not express often. She has no other choice now since her life force is very weak.
"B-but... I just can't leave you here just like that." Darky replied looking at her, then hugged her. "I just can't see anypony sad, no matter who is it." He said softly. The changeling forces were slowly being pushed back to the castle from Canterlot. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis was shocked that he was able to give her love after what she did to him. "Why do you express caring after what I did to you?" She asks as she notes her changelings being pushed back. "It's useless for me for care for others. I just... I just don't..." Chrysalis broke down in tears and held Darky close. "Thank you... your the first pony that has ever... been nice to me without mind control..." She was still very weak after her magic exertion. After a moment of holding Darky, she passes out from the lack of energy.
Darky petted her a little just before she passed out. He carried her and took her to a guest room so she could rest. He cared about her, even after what she did. After that, he left the room so she could rest peacefully. After a while, most of the changeling had fled or were captured and the ponies took back the castle, freeing Celestia and Luna went back with his husband. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
Chrysalis was out for a long while. It was in the hooves of the Princesses now to what they should do with the Queen of Changelings. She did leave Darky unharmed, but she did so much damage to Canterlot and the Crystal Empire. Could she ever be trusted by ponies? Some would suggest that she couldn't be trusted. But is that maybe stretching the truth? Would it seem conceded to say that she maybe never had a chance to show her heart? Even if she couldn't love one pony, maybe she does care for them in some way that way she express her caring for Darky.
Princess Celestia woke up after a while. She was resting.in order to get back her energy and decided what to do with Chrysalis. She was thinking what to do with her, banish her, lock her in a special prision. She didn't knew what to do, but there was something interesting. Darky was trying to defend her. Celestia didn't knew why, but he was doing it. He said that he would do his best to make her change and never do that again, but she wasn't so sure about it. It was a big risk to do that amd she didn't wanted something like this happen again. She was not sure what to do. Sent from my lovely princess Luna
