Chrysalis was still unsure of how trusting Celestia was of her but at least Celestia was being a bit more nice. She still felt a bit alone, but till she finds a love of her own, she'll have to live with this odd void.
Celestia went back to her study to keep working. Whatever Darky.did to change her, it worked, now, Chrysalis had to convince Twilight and her friend of that. Yet, she felt a bit sorry for her and understood how she felt a little, having nopony to love...
Chrysalis wonders what she could do next. Maybe at least appologise to Twilight. Though that is easier said than done. Not to mention she cannot leave the Castle grounds without Celestia's permission. It made her feel like she was going to be driven nuts. She takes a deep breath, and steps back from her thoughts. If anything she must at least allow to make some time to show affection in return. She owes allot to Darky for helping her change but yet she wonders if this void was also part of his plan for her to seek a mate. Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. Time is something she now had plenty of and she wasn't sure how it'll be spent.
After a while, Luna and Darky woke up. It was already night time, and Celestia went to sleep. Darky decided to see if Chrysalis was up to see if she wanted to eat with them, just to mke her company.
Chrysalis lays in her bed, but she was still wide awake. She has issues sleeping with all this in her mind going on. She just wonders if she deserved such loneliness.
Chrysalis gets up and answers the door. "Yes? Oh, Hi Darky. Is there something you need?" Chrysalis asks in a curious and soft tone. She was trying to hold back her emotional onslaught she was having in her room.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to go with me and Luna to get something to eat." Darky said "So you don't have to be alone."
Chrysalis blushes and she nods. "That would be nice." She says opening the door more. "I guess you two had a good day's sleep?" She asks sincerely, like her darker self never existed.
"We did, thank you." He said smiling after seeing her blush. "Alright then, lets go." He said leading her to the kitchen.
Chrysalis follows Darky lazily, not thinking about where they were going. She just kinda mindlessly liked to follow him. She had a sense of warm and comfort with Darky that was in describable. Then her mind flashes back to when he was her pet. She shakes her head to remove that thought. She wasn't going to return to that... not anymore. Besides, he is happily with Luna. No use making things worse for her or Luna.
Chrysalis smiles seeing something to eat. At this point, it really didn't matter if it was love or actual food she was eating. As long as something entered her mouth, she was happy. She sat down and ate without a word. She was still in her own little world. (God, I made such a bad innuendo there...)
(Hahahahha xd) Darky saw her eat that happily and smiled. He sat next to her, and Luna just next to him and then started eating also.
Chrysalis then sighs and looks to Darky. "Have you ever felt useless before?" She asks without any explanation. "Nevermind..." She then adds a second later. Something was on Chrysalis's mind but it seems like she was unsure about something.
"Uhh...?" Darky was not sure what she was talking about, but kind of understood what she ment. "Before I even met Luna, I used to roam around Equestria aimlessly, not knowing what to do with my life." Darky said looking a bit sad. "I thought I was just a pony without purpose, completely useless, but after a year and a half I met Luna." He nuzzled Luna. "And see me now."
Chrysalis then sighs again. "I mean with my Queenship. I rule a whole hive of Changelings. Yet I feel useless now because my emotions are getting in the way. I've been fighting my own demons for most of the day... not sure what would be better to do..." She says, a sense of depression taking her tone. "I'm at a point now that I've all but given up. I just feel hollow." She then bites into her food again before she bathers on more. She feels even worse now for pushing her problems on to them.
Darky was.not sure what to say about that. "Well..." he had no idea what to say. "The best thing to do is change so you can rule your changelings and at the same time not hurt other ponies" Luna said. "They still jeed a queen and wont last long with Celestia."
"You think I don't know that? I hear my own speak to me all the time during the day. It's just my own heart has paralyzed me to a point hat I cannot govern my own kind right now. I cannot even think straight." She says and sighs. "I'm sorry... I don't mean to push my own problems on you two... it's just been a very trying day on me. I feel even worse for Celestia. She doesn't deserve what I pushed on her due to my state of mind." Chrysalis says, showing something not seen in her before. She is expressing sympathy to one of her biggest archrivals. She has come a very long way from being a sadistic, hateful Queen.
Darky pulled her and hugged her, gently stroking her mane. "Calm down..." He gently said. "You have gone trough a lot of things recently, I understand that you feel like that." He continued stroking her mane. "And I don't mind that you push your problems to us as you said. We are here to help you get used to all this."
