So... What you're saying is he hates without flaming? He must be incredibly skilled. I mean, to do that you'd have to, like, not openly hate. Either that or my definition of "hate" is different from yours.
Haters have tried to troll me enough to make me know this much. If you do not respond, they will not get a reason to continue. If they do continue, try to find common ground to relate to them. If this is impossible, just report them or downright ignore them. If this is in real life and it continues horribly, you can go to police as they are bullying you which is against the law (At least, it is here.) If all the above fails, move at worst case scenario. The last 3 luckily I have never had to get to.
He does hate, but he only calls out the bad. He wouldn't go after someone just for liking the show. The few haters I've got on DA, I just block them and ignore them. Yes, his targets are considered rabid bronies.
No one loves and tolerates everyone. Don't kid yourself. As one who has lived for more than a half century I learned this truth the hard way. If we choose a lifestyle we have to accept that there will always be those who disagree. The level of disagreement will vary from person to person and group to group. We are all guilty of judging others when we don't agree with them or their choices. Again, the level of disagreement varies. Take music for example. Some people love classical and some love rap. Each form of music denotes a certain type of person and lifestyle. To some, that difference is no big deal but to others the differences can come down to questioning the intelligence and moral fiber of the rap listeners and the racism and elitism of the classical listeners. We all bring lots of baggage to any given situation. Being male and having been raised in the 60's I was taught that men didn't cry or show their feelings or do "girlie" things. Some males today believe that as well so they may naturally question the "maleness" of guys who like what is ostensibly a children's show. I can't speak to the female aspect of the question but I would guess that for females there isn't the same stigma. The question of deviance also may come into it for males that are fans, especially adult males. Fathers and mothers may be suspicious to say the least of males who attach themselves to a children's show. Don't be naive. If you choose any given lifestyle it is extremely unwise to be blind to the potential dangers from those who disagree.
Does that mean people like me? Who...you know...feels greater attachment to the characters. If so, that is still not okay.
The funny part is, a lot of these younger guys who start going at bronies with the whole "this show is girly" point and start questioning why a grown dude likes this show are the same guys who are wearing eyeliner, skinny jeans, and other things that were also considered "girly" until about 10 or so years ago, hahaha:Trollestia:
Put simply, people love to hate things. It's getting easier to ignore scrubs and haters on the internet. No one in real life acts like this. I don't know about you guys, but my love and tolerance is equivilant to beating someone into the ground that tries to attack bronies. I just wore my pony shirt all around town today. A few people stared, but no one will ever come up and say anything negative. There are people in my life that I love and care for. I'm not going to love haters. I don't tolerate idiots online, I block/ignore them.
Sorry for the very late conversation joining of this thread. Let me Explain in my opinion of this topic. Why are people hating bronies so much more? Well, if you take a look on the internet, The Community of Bronies and it's fandom has spread so much that after a while, it starts to grow on people to look for reasons to hate Bronies. Bronie's love and tolerate ways is put in a debating state to the point where if they still hold true to their words that we spread across the nation and world to show what we stand for and to being a much better understanding of love and tolerates to this world. Like myself, this is something i hold true to that I wish this is what this world were to become a better way of living with out the reason to hate one another and for some who call themselves Bronies and were dedicated show that, Yes! We will being this world out of suffering and misguidance of cruelty of the human way. Some Bronies still hold the key of love and tolerance in their hearts in hopes for a better world. Others are not what they seem to be from what we see at first glance. There are people who do watch and the show and call themselves "Bronies", But these Bronies take the word "Brony" and make a mockery of the name and what community was in begin with. They Treat it in a way...A joke. I know one in my home town and she is not what I was hoping for in begin with. Her coming out of her mouth at me as in calling me a "Fa**ot." Is something I see wrong of the Brony community. Bronies need to be Reminded of actions that preform in a negative way is not the way we en-scripted it in Bronyism. Back on why people hating of Bronies. It's reasons is the misconduct of people's insecurity of their Masculinity and manhood to subject to themselves to something that was Originally for a different gender as in for women only. This is False statement on if the program was intended for men or women or boys or girls. In my opinion, if something that seems different and odd for one's liking, doesn't means it's bad for not ones self to get it a try. Without the experience of dough if it be good or not, then you won't know for sure if left out to know then give reasons why subject yourself with a different point of view of seeing the real picture. In more likely to hate something that others told you to feel about the whole scenario in the first place. My Point is that some people just don't understand. No matter how many times you tell a person or a group or whatever, they will have their own opinions of what they will thinks of others or stuff as well. It' the human's way of living (Unfortunately) and give them their own "Free Will" to give them what they will to believe. We can't change one's beliefs of one's individuals action towards another. But the there are ways to change it in an alter ways of a better understanding why these come to be. Forcing one to change cause another said this is the best way to go in life is never the solution for one to be happy for what they are. I don't force bronyism to other people but said for them to get it a try once for themselves, if they do or don't like it, then by all mean you say that your happy or sorry to hear that but thanks for hearing how you feel to it and move on with your life.
Well you see the main attribute to your problem, is caring. People, no matter how nice you may be, will hate. It's a human trait (As annoying as it seems.) A teenager can look at an old man and despise everything about him just for being "Old" and "Crotchety" but have no idea of who he is or give thought to what he did when he was younger. Example: Earlier today I was on the bus with a man who had the strongest pot odor, he was pissing me off to the point where I just wanted him to leave. I got off the bus cursing about it, and I had no regard to who he was I just despised the odor and by default, him. All of us, should it arise, hate something. It's an innate behavior, irrational or not. Personally though, I don't care. I went out in public with a pink backpack on and a Mcdonalds Twilight Sparkle figure strapped to my belt. And I didn't care. People gave me looks. I didn't care. Cause I knew that I had no reason to feel bad for anything that I could ever do. In the end the life you live is yours (Don't forget other people inhabit the world with you.) but YOUR life, it's yours. P.S. That sounds a little preachy, but hopefully you get something out of it.
Love and Tolarate is getting wayy over used in this fandom :x People will hate no matter what Just have to learn to ignore it sometimes the reason we are hated is because of being mixed up with Furry lovers and cloppers xD and sometimes we cant do much about it just sit back and injoy the drama c:.
So I should be hated then? You just mentioned 2 things that I am. Maybe I misunderstood. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
First and foremost, don't use persecution hyperbole ever when discussing a fandom. Ever. It's really just nonsensical since a fandom isn't the same as a historically persecuted minority, and we don't suffer the same sort of oppression. Bronies are a fandom that enjoys a little girls t.v show of pastel colored ponies discovering the magic of friendship. Sorry to say it is not a lifestyle or a pow wow, good vibes men's movement to get rid of male gender stereotypes or to promote values that are not already inherent in every other fandom. To be quite honest, there is nothing unique to this fandom that any other fandom doesn't have already. A sense of community, a sense of friendship, meeting new people, enjoying life, having fun in a shared interest. The Same sort of values bronies glorify to be spearheading. Does that mean it's not special to us on an individual level? Like another member mentioned, art speaks to us in different ways. I will use this from time to time if I want to make a statement on gender roles, or get involved with my group members for a food drive. But as a whole it's not a collective movement or lifestyle. The concept of "Bronyism" I see get dropped sometimes, and it really isn't anything new. As for the whole "hater thing" it's my opinion that's the bronies own Frankenstein. I remember back in 98 on my first computer looking at some of the first Poke'mon websites...it's been a part of internet culture as long as I can remember. There are families that are very draconian with their kids interests, but for most of us that's a normal part of growing up, unfortunately.
