If you've read the fic, it differentiates quite a lot. Starting from Rainbow Dash actually helping make them. She's put to sleep with a cupcake at the start of the fic and doesn't actually help make them. Of course, there's much more, but I don't think anyone wants me to point out all of the differences.
I think it's plausible. That animation is top notch for something to be a fan work. It came out of the blue, so, who knows?
It is good, but there are much better Flash animations out there done by little more than bedroom animators. Nothing about this screams a level so good that they must be professional. Besides, the whole claiming to be a Hasbro animator when such a job doesn't exist pretty much screams unprofessionalism. Worth mentioning that the video does highlight the word 'troll' at the beginning.

No where on his deviant art does he mention of his ties with Hasbro (not that this would matter, but it seems strange to just randomly state this in a YouTube description), and I find his animations to be boring, unimpressive, and downright stupid. I think he's looking for attention. "Hey I work for Hasbro" isn't exactly believable. And the lack of quality of his animations definitely don't help. Plus, I don't think that Hasbro animators would stoop to our level, let alone make a Cupcakes related animation. And frankly, I don't think they are allowed to anyway as they would need permission. And asking Hasbro "Can I make a grossly violent parody of a children's show?".... yeah I don't think so.
Well, that scenario is unlikely. If he did work for Hasbro, he would not announce his identity to anyone. It's an obvious fanwork, not meant to be affiliated with the show (and rightly so). Still, I think it's a great animation, even if the content is disagreeable.
Then why randomly mention it in a YouTube description. It sounds like this guy just wants attention. Its no different then mentioning it on deviant art or anywhere. Anyone can say they work for Hasbro, but the fact that it's so random makes it seem like he's bragging about something he's not. My opinion.
I suppose it's possible, but as a Hasbro employee, I'd think they have some standards. He could get into trouble, but I'm only guessing at this point.
