The guard took a hit to his side, deep cut. He slowly bled out. Aeron smiled, and faced the opposite direction, towards her kingdom. "Come." She spoke softly, and briskly walked forward hastily.
Night felt a bit dizzy, but managex to keep up. He put away the sword and it stopped glowing, hot back his cloack and followed her with out asking or saying anything else.
Once they arrived, she led him into the castle. It was homely, and had a warm glow. The sat on a large couch in what appeared to be a main room. "Shaman!" She shouted, and a short dog appeared. "Sew him up." She ordered. The shaman began to inspect his his bite wound. She began conversationg, as the doctor did their work. "You realize it is dangerous. War is around, bandits and such. Surprised youre not dead."
"I mostly avoid the battles, theya re easier to see once you get used to it." Night said as the doctor worked. "And the bandits... I can take care of them if they attack me, or get out of there quickly enough."
"Interesting... How long have you been traveling, Mister.. Blade was it?" Aeron questioned, her ears flicking as the Shaman finished and left. Another wolf brought bread slices and set them down next to them.
"For a few years." He replied to her question. "I am one of the few survivors of the war that left this place how it is now." He then looked to the bread. "Do you have some fruit?" He asked.
"That makes sense. Although that was one of my worst fighters you killed. A burden, I might say." She stared hard at the plate on the table, the same wolf you brought took it away, and exchanged it with a glass bowl of fruits. "A few years... I'm surprised youre not at another kingdom, being held captive." She smirked, thinking of her own past.
"No, I managed to evade and get away from groups that did that." He replied calmly. Night grabbed a fruit and started eating. A small smile could be seen in his face as he ate. "But is has been so long since I was in combat with a trained fighter." He then said. "Most of the time I fought bandits or some monsters."
"The mutated ones? I heard that those are hard to kill. Some of them atleast." She tilted her head. Atleast she could still trick people into thinking she was humane. "I heard the monsters are quick to kill. How many have you faced?" She asked, as a guard snuck in a quietly whispered something to her. She gave a soft growl and murmured in reply, inaudibly to Night.
Night wondered what the guard said to her and what she murmured to him. "A dozen in the last months." He said grabbing an apple. "They are hard to kill face to face, but easy to sneak behind them and kill them."
Aeronwen stood. "I must go. You may come along with you'd like." Without another word, she marched out. She followed the road of the town to a large farm-looking building, though on the inside the floor was a deep pit, filled with large unmoving masses. Many dogs and wolves were gathered there, as they were circle around the entrance, where an old wolf stood between to guards. A soft murmur rippled through the crowd as their leader stepped into view. The 'criminal' was a spear-point, and any movement he made would most-likely lead to certain death.
Night grabbed some more fruit and followed her, since he had nothing else to do. He grabbed the silver sword and left flying to catch up with her, then arrived to wheres he was, to the sort of farm and saw what was going on in there.
Aeron chuckled in a sinister way as the crowd silenced. "Ah, crazy old Mr. McGee. You are sentenced to death, for crimes against the kingdom. How? You will be fed to the beasts lay at the bottom of this pit." She spat, growling. "Begin!" She screeched, the guards shoving the old wolf towards his demise. He shouted in protcomeest "I am not the crazy one here! I may be old, but with that comes wisdom! It is not a crime to attempt to escape this wretched place. You have no sane in you!" The mutated, large, and obviously hungry monsters awoke, they snarled beckoningly, waited for their next meal.
Night looked at the horrible scene. He wanted to do something to save him, but he was clearly in disadvantage if he tried something. He just looked how they took hima nd then truned away so he didn't had to see it. After seeing how they were and the kingdome rules, he had to be even more careful from now on .
Moments later, the wolf was shoved into the pit. There was a thud and a yelp, then bones snapping. Most of the wolves had left, but few stayed. Aeron smirked and walked away, back to the castle.
Night didn't looked back and left after a moment. He was convicted to death just for trying to get out of there. He didn't knew what to say, that was horrible for him. He shook his head to calm down and headed back to the castle also, flaying on his way back.
Aeron stood, speaking with the guard for a quick moment. "A war? Against us?" She questioned th guard, who spoke quietly. "They dont stand a chance, and perhaps we will kill their royalty while we at it. Tell them I accept."
Night soon arrived to where she was. He managed to hear something, but just a few words, something of a war, but he didn't knew what was with it. He just stood there, not sure what to say. "Everything alright?" He asked Aeron after a moment.
"Ah, yes." She turned towards him. "You must be confused abouit the recent events." She chuckled, "We arent very nice here. He was going to find the comfort of a kingdom that will go easy on him." She narrowed her eyes, "But he knows us, and our secrets. And so... You know." She gave a swiping motion across her next with her claws. "We have been challenged to war. By the unicorns. They think we are too cruel." She laughed and walked into her home, "But I dont think they really know who we are. We are famous for our war strength. We have never lost a battle against a kingdom."
"The.... unicorns?" He asked a bit confused. Did the alicorns made a kingdom of themself and everything went back to like in the three tribes of so long ago? He was not sure what to say. He escaped and got away fromt he masses that he wasn't used or knew how most of the world was now. "Do you know why they did it?" He then asked her.
