Aeronwen sat in the main room of her castle. It was dim, the only lighting was candles surrounding her in a circle and on a chandelier. She was sitting on the ground, murmuring words in latin. It seemed as if black smoke was surrounding the candles and Aeron. Her eyes were closed, and the candles flickered.
Night decided to take a walk to calm himself for a while. As he walked, he arrived to the main room of the castle and noticed Aeron. He noticed she was murmuring something, but didn't heard what it was... and didn't cared that much, but then noticed the black smoke. He was not sure what to say about it, or what was happening. He just looked at her for a moment.
Aeron felt the presence of another being, she stopped talking and the eerie silence swept over them. Her eyes opened, yet they were a different color. The whole of her eyes were deep red, like blood. The pupils were snake-like and a flaming white. Her mouth twitched, showing sharp teeth. The oily smoke filled the air, and the candles flickered and went out. It was darker than a moonless night.
Night remained as calm as he could. It was quite an... interesting atmosphere that had just changed. He was used to darkness, but not as this one, but he could see her eyes, her deep red eyes and a chill came down his spine. "I'll go then..." He said stepping back slowly.
The lock clicked, and faint rustling could be heard. A single candle on the floor flickered on. Aeron stood in its glow, her eyes still red, yet she had roses wrapped around her, its thorns sticking sharply outwards.
He looked at her, confused. What was going on, and what was the door... was he trapped there now?! And what with the roses and everything, all this was quite confusing and odd for him. He just gave another step back. He hoped he didn't interrupted something serious or that he didn't had to see.
He nodded and walked backwards towards the exit. What did just happened?! He left the room and quickly went to his room. He sat in a chair and tried to calm down, still confused of what just happened.
Once he left, the candles flicked on, and all was back to normal. Aeron was sitting on the floor, murming words.
Night took a deep breath and calmed down. He tried to forget what he just saw and went into the bathroom. When he exited he got himself a glass of water from the kitchen and went to the library to look for a book that might look interesting to read,
A few minutes later, Aeron walked out of the castle as if nothing happened. She smirked as she thought of the recent events.
After looking around the book, he decided just to go to walk for another while, exiting the castle this time.
Aeron sat at the edge of the beast pit, she stared down at the monsters. She held steaks in her claws and absent-mindedly threw them towards the hungry scavengers.
Night decided to fly around the are to see it better. He saw Aeron, but he decided to keep his distance from her after what happened.
Aeron spoke aloud, "I have given them The Pestilence. They will surely die." Though her mind was obviously blank, since her voice was flat.
"I have given them the Pestilence." She repeated herself and laughed. "They cannot win. We will win. Always. Now they are sick with a murderuos disease and they cant do anything about." She growled, "Not even their stupid magic abilities."
Wait... what?! Not even their magic... no... she couldn't had... "N-no..." the ponies. Some anger started emerging from deep inside him. He had to do something to help them, whatever!
"They will die..." She turned her head slowly. Half of her face was visible to him, her eyes narrow. "Yes." She smirked, "Death is upon them."
"B-but..." Night was speechless. He understood about dieing in battle, but releasing a disease to kill them. That was... he just didn't had words for it... "No... that is not right..." he started saying.
