Blasphemy!... at those people! To me, the first two episodes are probably two of my favorite episodes.
Brothers? Really? Metaphorically or..? Hehe. I agree whole-heartedly that the first two aren't an accurate representation of what to expect in the later episodes but I'd still advise people to watch them, they'd miss Luna if they didn't (can't have that can we Jaret?)! EDIT: Wow, you are brothers! D:
I started off with the Ticket Master; I got into the story quite fast, but I don't really think that it's a as Good "pilot" episode as the first 2 are. It kind of further-explains all the characters, while the first 2 actually introduce them and give out their personality. A nice feature to this Show is actually the fact that they learn something new, and use it later on in the next episodes (Like the Fluttershy jump that appeared in "Dragonshy" used in one of the later episodes). It gives you the feeling that they actually have lives in their little word of Equestria. There are hundreds of background characters that appear from time to time. It's not like they're there just to fill the episode and the screen, no. Many of them have distinct personalities, as we can read on the MLP wikia.

I think it was all very plot-filly though, too dark for the target audience. I doubt we'll be seeing any more nightmare moon (least not anytime soon). Ah damn this rhyming is contagious
No Luna before the start of season 2, makes me wanna kill time, The wait will be a burden from my view - it's an unintentional rhyme.
Around the middle of may it's starting. As far there is to my knowledge, the same second season 1 ends, Season 2 starts.
December, eh? Well, at least we'll still have the first season to watch many times over until it starts. Whether it's on Youtube or on DVD when it comes out.

I must say, well... Princess Luna's my favorite character of the show - so much that, even tough knowing what happened for her to "disappear", I complained a lot xDDDD Maybe people should watch the first season from the third episode, and the first two episodes are to be watched before the first episode of season two. It'd be plot wise, at least.
Well, Luna is my favorite character too.. And I hope season 2 won't take long.. I'm eager to see them again...
