Wait, so where do these episodes appear? It can't have started on Youtube. Is there a channel on TV where I can watch Season 2? (I really want to be on track and make sure to watch it on time from the first episode to the last. I can't let this turn out like Pokemon!) If so, what are the times going to be, anybody know? And what is the exact, full date the first episode airs?
You can find all the season 1 episodes here but season 2 is some way off yet, anyway this isn't really the right place for such discussion, not that you should've known that but if you have any further questions feel free to message me (saves clogging up this thread) And welcome to Everypony btw
honestly, I like Luna more than Celestia, she seem more.. idk by her real character like Fluttershy. I can't wait to see her in season 2. anticipating her as much as Derpy.
While she's appeared in ONE episode for few seconds, I guess it's fairly easy to tell off her personality. She's shy, but not shy like Fluttershy (timid and without any confidence), she's timid because she's feeling guilty for being enough selfish to force others to love her. From this, we can conclude she's probably a lot sentimental and needy of love and friends beside her sister, and weak at heart because love for her it's a need not a wish. Celestia, being the only knowing this and understanding her better, always tried to reason with her. And it worked, until situation forced her to seal her away. One of the reasons for her personality is... Well, have you noticed that there's no mention to their parents? It actually means they died when they were at a young age. Luna, as the younger sibling and being without someone to love her and only her, was probably traumatized. And with everypony hailing the bringer of sun (living beings like day better than night, ponies are no exception), it just made it worse. No wonder an evil force transformed her into Nightmare Moon.
Good analysis. I like her character a lot. The thing with me though is that her not speaking much or even being in the show for more than a minute leaves a lot more to the imagination of her character. My opinion on all the characters changed throughout the series, except for hers. At first I absolutely adorred Fluttershy, and I guess I still do, but only as second best. My favorite is Rainbow Dash, though she can be a little too cocky and annoying sometimes. The sonic rainboom sealed the deal of my choice on favorite character. Episode 16 was 20% cooler than the next best episode.
I honestly can't wait to see what they're going to do with Luna in Season 2. Besides Fluttershy, Luna is another one of those ponies if I could give a hug, I would.
I really wonder when Luna will appear in Season 2. Luna is just one of the ponies that even though she only appears for a couple seconds, is loved by many.
I will laugh histerically if all she does is show up in one episode for 3 seconds, trying on socks. I can imagine it now......ha. Honestly, I want to know more about her and how she deals with her past. That would be good stuff.
It'd be quite interesting to see more of Luna, for there are so many mysteries surrounding her. For example, how old is she really? She was stuck on the moon for a thousand years and still looks like a little filly. Didn't she age during her time as Nightmare Moon? Is she just naturally small? Or is she really that much younger than Cellestia? That last option might shed more light on the whole banishment thing. For all we now, banishing Luna on the moon for 1000 years might be the alicorn equivalent of a child being grounded for a weekend without tv. :derpe: ... though somehow I doubt that this mystery will be solved anytime soon.
Um... what are you talking about? The first two episodes were the ONLY two written exclusively by Faust, although she and Amy Keating Rogers wrote The Ticket Master together.
You know what? If you look back at episode 1, you see that Luna and Celestia are the same size. Also notice that Celestia has plain pink hair. Theory: When Celestia harnessed the Elements of Harmony, they increased her power, thus increasing her size and giving her the wavy rainbow-y hair we see today. When Luna harnessed the whatever evilness ("the bitterness in the young one's heart transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness), it also increased her power and size, and gave her the 'starry night' hair. Once Nightmare Moon, or rather, Nightmare Moon's POWER, was destroyed, Luna was transformed into her original form. If you notice, she's still slightly taller than other ponies, as we can see when she arrives at the Summer Sun Celebration. Food for thought.
Interesting. I thought that the same-size-plus-pink-hair thing was just part of the storybooks style. It's not hard to believe that the wavy hair and stuff is a side-effect of them being powered up, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Luna is not visibly younger than Celestia, even after a thousand years. And alicorns seem to be generally bigger than most other ponies, so comparing her size to those of the others doesn't really, hmm, say much about her physical development, let alone her maturity.
Fun fact: Luna's name means "moon" in Latin. Interestingly, the Friendship is Magic book, which comes with one of the gift sets of the toys, references her as Selena, "selene" (Σελήνη) meaning "moon" in Ancient Greek. Source: MLPWikia
The million dollar question for me is what will her personality be like? I can see her being quiet like Fluttershy and as playful and happy as Pinkie Pie, but who knows? Maybe she'll have a unique personality. I still want to give her a Big Sims hug. lol
I'm pretty sure Luna is coming back in season two to try and make friends with the ponies of ponyville but they still haven't accepted her as a friend and its going to be an acceptance episode or something. Those are my thoughts
Me, I HOPE that she is in every episode in season 2. She is the most awsomest pony ever! And, I even like her as Nightmare Moon! And if you like her, and probaly Celestia, join my group! Name: Princess Luna and Princess Celestia Fan Club!
