Garon groaned and looked at Levian. Garon) Very well. But if I hear of any funny business, it's a month in the dungeons. Do you understand? The Hoshidan Army had marched right below Nohr's nose, and they had not been spotted. The fog was too thick to see through. Iguru) We're here. The bridge is about a half kilometer away. Your highness, would you please use the Vein? Ryouma) I'd be happy too. The Prince walked to the front of the formation. His body glowed red, and he shot a ball of crimson magic at the drawbridge, branding it with a dragon. The winchs started turning, and the bridge opened up. Iguru) Now, Charge! As the Knights charged in on their horses, the other units followed closely behind. A group of friendly saboteurs destroyed the winchs operating the drawbridge, preventing the enemies from closing it again. Before the Nohrian Forces had time to react, the entire unit was already inside the city. Shoko) Brother, the market district is the most fortified! That must be where the enemy base is! Iguru) Good, Come with me. Clancy, your Highness, you too. We're going to take the fight to them. Hopefully take out their Commander. (So, I'm splitting off from the main group, You could do the same with Levian, Camilla, and any named people you have. Let the common soldiers duke it out on their own.)
-Suddenly, the bridge began to raise back up, as Camilla had used her own Dragon Vein to disorient the Hoshidan forces- (Levian) Impressive, Camilla.
(BTW, This was shortly after the charge began. So some of his forces made it into the annex, others fell into the river, and the rest are on the other side of the border.) (Oh, and I'll take over Ryoma if you play Camilla.)
Iguru) Well, it seems the both of us are trapped here. Shoko leans over and whispers in Iguru's ear. Shoko) Uh... Brother. I think that's Camilla. Nohrian Princess. The commander, Levian too. Iguru draws his sword, as does Ryouma. Shoko takes a crimson tome out of her bag, and Clancy notches and arrow on his bow. The enemy seemed so far away, on the other side of the market. They prepared themselves for an attack. (Didn't see that last post until after this one. And I can take Camilla too. Ok, so let's say our forces are evenly matched at the moment, numbers wise. Skill wise is too be determined.) Camilla) My, what do we have here? Some Hoshidans who are looking to play? We'll humour you.
(Levian) Wyvern Lords, Dark Falcon fliers, commence the air assault. -Legions of said types of fliers, all equipped with Iote's Shield, begin their assault, showering the enemy in spears, throwing axes, and magic attacks-
The Hoshidan forces divert their current course to the enemy in favor of a slower one that is better protected for aerial attacks, while Spellcasters and Archers try to pick off some of the fliers, with this taking a bit longer than usual due to the Iote's Shield. A large group of skilled Pegasus Warriors engage their enemy from the sky. Camilla) It seems they have taken cover from the fliers, while deploying their own as well. I have too say, whoever their tactician is quite adept at their job. The Hoshidan Commanders slowly tread closer to Camilla and Levian, all of them ready to attack in the blink of an eye.
(Levian) Ready your axe, Camilla. Their commanders are after us. *gives a signal to the divebombers to begin attacking the Hoshidans across the river* -Wyvern Riders begin dropping from the clouds and having their mounts drop bombs (barrels of gunpowder set to ignite when the barrel breaks) on the enemies-
Shoko) Brother, they're bombing our soldiers! Fortunately, the buildings overhead are shielding most of the blast, but there are some injuries. Iguru) Have our spellcasters set up the fog again! That'll force them to fly low! He turns and whispers to Ryoma. Iguru) Your Highness, I'm going to catch those two off guard by casting Forseti. That's our queue to charge. Got it?
-Before Forseti could be cast, the same dragon from earlier swooped down and knocked Ryoma aside- (Dragon) -distorted- GYARRRRRRRRRROUGH!!!
Tamen-Sei flashed white, glowing with a white aura, increasing the weapon's range and power. Iguru swung his sword at the dragon. who was out of his reach. Almost a second later, an explosion of white light enveloped part of the dragon, causing it too flinch. He then cast Forseti while it was off balance to free Ryoma. Shoko flipped through pages in her tome, and drew a line in front of her with her finger. The ground was scorched immediately afterward, a wall of flame separating Camilla and Levian from the Hoshidans. Iguru helped Ryoma to his feet. Iguru) My highness, are you unharmed?
(Levian) Excalibur! *dispels the fire wall* (Dragon) GRRRRRRRRAHHHHYYYOH! *fires Goetia at Iguru from mouth*
(Levian) Camilla! Now! *charges at Iguru, swinging Sorrenild at him from the shadowy cloud created by the dragon's Goetia breath* *enters blade clash with Iguru* -Camilla rushes Ryoma-
Iguru) That's a nice axe you got there. And I have to say, you seem to rely an awful lot on fliers. Not that I blame you. Hey, want to see a trick? Iguru roots himself in a firm position. Shoko switches tomes to Thoron, and fires a blast at Camilla, halting her charge towards Ryoma. Shoko) You will not touch the Prince, you harpy! Camilla) My, someone has spunk! Very well then, I will be your opponent. Iguru's swords lights up as if it were coated in oil. The fierce embers fly off the blade, scorching both individuals armpur, as well as clearing the cloud. A whistling sound could be heard, and a group of three of silver arrows fly at Levian, lodging themselves in his armour. Iguru praised Clancy in his mind, before going on the offensive, pushing back Sorrenild, and going on the offensive. Meanwhile, the Hoshidan Spellcasters had successfully summoned the fog, forcing the enemy fliers to get near the ground, where they were struck down by Hoshidan Swordsmen and Archers. After thinning their numbers, they made a mad dash for the castle at the center of the town, breaking down the front gate, and storming inside, taking up defensive positions.
(Levian) Hrrgh! Not as much as you think! *signals to Camilla to attempt to capture Shoko for her tactical abilities* -Iguru's ground forces face a large barrage of Thoron blasts from a large group of Nohrian Dark Knights, and some of the Hoshidan ground forces begin sabotaging their "Comrades".-
Camilla swoops towards Shoko on her wyvern and grabs her. Iguru sees this, and is filled with rage. He knocked Sorrenild out of Levian's hands with a fierce blast of wind, and grabs him while he's disoriented, putting his sword to his neck. Iguru) Unhand her, and Levian here keeps his head. Camilla sees Clancy and Ryouma readying their weapons, and she pats the Dragon's head, who opens it's maw and readies a Goetia blast. Camilla) It seems we are at an impasse. It would be a shame if your dear sister was brought back to the capitol. Shoko was clearly terrified. She had never seen this side of her brother. Iguru) If you so much as pluck a hair from her head, don't expect my hostage to fair well. The Thoron blasts hit many Hoshidan soldiers, narrowly passing through the magic barrier set up by the Spellcasters. The saboteurs blew up a hole in the wall, letting in more Nohrian troops, but they were killed on the spot. Cannons were found in the castle armory, and were set up to help defend the position.
(Dragon) *knocks Iguru off of his master* -Lets out same distorted roar- (Levian) *runs for axe* *grabs it and mounts dragon* As Robin once said, "It's time to tip the scales.".
Camilla) That might not be plausible, Levian. The main unit already occupied the castle and they have cannons set up. I think it would be best to cut our losses and take the girl back to Nohr. We already lost a good deal of people and material.
(Hoshidan Lt.) *fires red distress flare, indicating immediate need for help* (Levian) See? Our forces are doing just fine. *Signals the Sorcerers to clear the fog* Eheh....
(Levian) And their cannons are in for a nasty surprise.... -Explosions are heard from the castle. The cannons in the castle were sabotaged by the Nohrian spies in the village.-
