Star would occasionally fiddle with her amulet, seeing if her arm was loose enough to tug on it. She had done this for the past few days, and today was her lucky day, as the amulet came off, and the power stored within rushed out of her horn, sliding the suppressor ring off. She quickly cast an illusion spell to give the appearance of the ring still being present. The next part of her plan was a little iffy. Due to the hive mind's influence, her resistance to the Changeling Mind Control had faded a bit, so she could end up being enslaved again. She would have to take that risk. Star spoke in a deadpan, emotionless voice. "I am ready to become the Queen's pet. Take me to her." Along with her voice, she let some of the Hive's magic flow into her to give the appearance of being subordinated.
Poison was surprised that Star gave in. "Very well. But I cannot remove the cocoon without the permission of her highness." She says before speaking to her queen through the hive mind. The Queen provided permission and Poison let her free. "The Queen wishes to meet you in her chambers. She wants to see for herself if you are ready."
"Take me to her." Star said in the same expressionless voice. She would most likely not be able to escape the hive today, as most of her magic was expelled into the air when she took off her amulet, and it seemed as if the Hive was slowing her magic regeneration. Star was escorted to Chrysalis' chambers by Poison and two lesser changelings. "I am ready, my Queen." Star said, mustering up as much of her acting talent as she could.
Poison takes her to the Queen and she smiles, nodding to the guards that Star has permission. They let her through the Queen. Queen Chrysalis smiles as she Star enter in and hears her say she is ready. "Good. I will see if you are ready my pet. Come to me and show me your affection. Show me how much you love your Queen."
In her mind, she was disgusted at the thought of doing this, but Star approached Chrysalis, and pulled her into a hug, and kissed the Queen a multiple times. "As soon as I get out of here, I'm washing my mouth more than I have in my life..." She thought. "Words cannot describe how majesti and beautiful you are, your highness. May you rule be log and prosperous. I want nothing more than absolute forfeit of my free will." She droned this on out loud several times.
The Queen smiles and she nods. "That's enough. You please me my pet. Now lay and relax with me. I don't bite, much" She then chuckles and looks to Star with a devious smile.
Star did as she was told, breathing a sigh of relief that she fooled the Queen, but now anticipating what would happen next.
The Queen lays with her newest pet and snuggles with her. "You know. It's nice to have a pet to talk to. I honestly didn't think you'd give in, but I guess even those with strong wills will eventually surcome. I'm sorry if my special guard Poison roughed you up a bit much. She is just doing her job." She says to Star.
"It's for the good of the Hive, my queen." Star said. Her mind was starting to cloud. "Crap, I must have taken in too much of the Hive's magic." She thought. Most of her thoughts were twisting to serving the hive, but she fought them back as best as she could.
"You are sweet my pet. You know, I feel happy now that you have joined us." Chrysalis says as she nuzzles Star. "I feel happier already." She then closes her eyes and yawns. "I think it's time we both rested. I'm feeling tired."
Star suddenly fell into a deep sleep without any warning or her own volition. The Hive has gotten to her this time.
Queen Chrysalis takes a nice long nap, laying with her newest pet. She feels so great doing so, it's like she has regained something she lost. No pony fool could get her back easily. Not with Star in her arms.
Star smiled gently as the Chrysalis ran her hoof through Star's mane. Consciously, she enjoyed this and never wanted this to end. But on the inside, she was fighting a battle for her freedom. The hive kept telling her to give in, and the Queen's brainwashing strengthened the hive's power. She stood resolute throughout this. She had a flashback to a training session with Celestia. The Princess of The Sun looked at Star with gleaming eyes. Her expression changed to a very stern one soon. "Star. Listen up and watch closely. In the event the changelings capture you again, there is a spell that purges all their influence from your mind." "Awesome! Teach me I-" "It's not that simple, I'm afraid. There's no guarantee of survival when using this spell. Knowing this, do you still want to learn it?" "Of course!" "Very well then." Celestia used her magic to pick up a piece of chalk, and drew a patter on the blackboard behind her. "All you have to do is draw this, and then stand in the center. The magic will do the rest." Star, through a impressive show of will, broke free of the Hive's influence for a moment, and using her knowledge of Changeling Magic, she looked into the collective conscious of the Hive Mind to discover a spot where she could cast the spell safely without being noticed. She looked over to Chrysalis, who was fast asleep, and snuck out to where she would hide. When she arrived, Star did a quick sweep of the area to make sure no one was watching. When the coast was clear, she summoned a piece of chalk, and drew the circle on the floor around her. When she completed the pattern, whitish-blue flames erupted from the ground, cleansing Star of any Changeling influence. Her screams of agony were bound to attract someone. "I will persevere!" She thought, and the flames (painfully) cleansed her mind. The flames were extinguished, and Star dropped to the ground, gasping for breath. She had no time to spare. Some pony would notice she wasn't connected with the hive, and bring her back to the Queen, who would without a doubt brainwash her so much she would have no thoughts, emotion or personality. She wasn't at full magic power, but desperate times called for desperate measures. "The attack begins now!" Star's horn glowed a cyan hue, and a nearby wall crumpled effortlessly. A group of armed changelings flew after her. Using a borrowed Changeling spell, she bent their minds to her will. "Free the prisoners!" They complied without second thought. Her horn glowed again, this time causing a nearby nursery to burst into flame, destroying all the eggs inside.
Chrysalis through all this was still dead asleep but her hive mind will wake her up soon. Poison could hear some commotion and she could only think of one pony who could have the power to do this. She could sense it. While her instincts were to stop her... another part of her mind refused. She wanted to see Star escape alive oddly enough. She clenched her teeth and growls lowly to herself not sure what to do. She knew that her feelings for Star would turn her against the hive. She couldn't help it.
Star shot a blast of cyan magic at the door to the Queen's chambers, busting it down. She then sealed off the door with a magic forcefield. Her magic power was swelling up in a visible aura around her. "Wake up, Chrysalis."
Chrysalis opens her eyes groggily and shakes her head. It took a moment to learn what was going on. "W-What is the meaning of this?!" She ask realizing that Star wasn't under her control, taking a offensive stance.
"Payback time, Chrysalis. You take seven years from my life, enslave countless others and cause untold sorrow. I may not look like it, but I'm a believer of, 'An eye for an eye.'"
Chrysalis then smiles. "You think you can drop me? Pathetic! I'll drop you faster than I did Celestia when I invaded the wedding!" Chrysalis builds her magic up and readies herself to fire it at Star. She wasn't going to tolerate this insubordination.
Star's horn flashed, and Chrysalis erupted into flame, most likely causing extreme agony. "Don't underestimate me." Her horn sparked again, and the flames were put out, then reignited much stronger. "Does that hurt? I hope it does."
Chrysalis screams in agony. The flames hurting her body. She was almost crippled by the fire's heat. She couldn't take it and she falls in defeat. Tears falling form her eyes. She was in pain for many reasons but the main one was her body hurting to a point that even moving it hurt. "M-My children... my home... my own life... all destroyed..." She then closes her eyes. "I guess all that is left is my soul which will leave this burned body soon..." She says sounding somber. Her voice was soft but not evil sounding. She was different for that moment, because her life was flashing before her own eyes. "I-I'm sorry... Star..." She says before the life in her body leaves her. She was lifeless and her hive was dead. Maybe it was for the best, but was it the right thing to do?
