"Do you want some help? I could help you get some of the higher books.... I think." she said, laughing at her doubt for herself.
"Got it!" said Eluuna. Humming, she flew up and searched. "How 'bout this?" she said, floating down with three books. One was ancient magic for beginner unicorns, one for moderate, and one for expert. "I din't know your skill level, so here you go!" she said cheerfully.
Snow took the beginner book and began reading through it, "Why don't you go find a book tht interests you?" Snow suggested to Eluuna
Snow read through the book, but was unsuccessful in finding anything new, until she came across a smudged page towards the back called, "Essence...Power...Essence..." Snow muttered to herself, "So, something called essence magic? How come I've never heard of it before?" And with that, Snow went off to find any other book that might contain information on this new magic
After about an hour, Snow found Eluuna reading a comic book, while on her back was balanced several books that she had found even slightly referenced essence magic, "Find anything?" Snow asked, feeling as though she already knew the answer
Eluuna frowned. "I found this cook book. Cooking.. or baking I suppose, has always fascinated me...." she said quietly, taking one of her feathers and playing with it.
"Well that's a start!" Snow said encouragingly to Eluuna, "Come on, let's check out and go back home!"
The pair checked out the books and were both given cards that said the return by date for the books. As they left, Snow turned to Eluuna and said, "I found an interesting look form of an old way to cast magic, so I found all I could on it."
ELuuna snapped out of here trance. "Oh, really? What does it do to the magic itself?" she asked, grabbing a leaf and fiddling with it.
"Well, to put it simply, regular magic relies on the energy you have at the time of casting the spell, that's why unicorns tire from casting spells and can't really cast anything when tired. What I found has to do with harnessing the very essence of a body for the energy to cast the spell, meaning that not only does the unicorn have a virtually infinite source f energy from which to cast their spells and thus never tire from casting lots of spells, but also it is more powerful and potent." Snow explained.
"Wow! That would be so cool to master!" exclaimed Eluuna. "Would your dad know more about it, perhaps? Your mom?"
Snow shook her head, "Apparently it hasn't been used by anypony in over a thousand years. All these books are from the Pre-Nightmare Moon era"
Eluuna was quiet for a moment. "Have you learned anything that you might be able to do, yet?" she asked
