"Oh. Well, where else do you think we could find more information on it?" she asked, twisting the leaf slightly to make a small hand puppet.
Snow was about to reply when she noticed how well Eluuna was messing with the leaf, "Hey, Eluuna, ever try something with plants?"
"Maybe.." she said, doubtfully. "I've done this since I was a newborn filly, though. If it was my cutie mark, don't you think I would have gotten it by now?
"Yeah... Maybe..." murmured Eluuna. She flew up a little, and saw a small woods about a block a way. "Hey, Snow, d'ya mind if I go over to the woods for a minute? I want to investigate this theory of yours."
Snow came across a passage in her book on the use of essence magic, "The use of the essence for magical energy is much like using the ocean to help put out a fire instead of a pond. The hardest part is using it. Once te essence is tapped for use, it is easy to reach it again. So, a user of essence is much like that of normal magic, they just use a different source for the same result." Snow's eye narrowed slightly in interest, "So, I just have to find out to tap the essence? That should be easy enough."
Snow stood still as she thought deeply, trying to find her 'essence pool'. She was so deep in meditation that she didn't hear her father approaching, and Billy, wanting to have some fun, didn't say a word until he was right next to Snow. "BOO!" He half-yelled. "GAHHHH!" Snow cried out in shock, and disappeared with a flash before reappearing over Billy and falling on his back, "Hey, ya getting better kiddo!" He said encouraging, "What where ya doing?"
Eluuna cried in elation, followed by a yelp as the ranch snapped. She hovered with it, regaining her balance, and flew up to the tree. "Now... To make the fort... This'll go.. Aha!" she murmured, thinking.
Snow managed to convince Billy to leave her alone to her meditation, and began concentrating extremely hard, looking for her 'essence', hoping that this would be what her talent was.
"Done." said Eluuna. Smiling happily, she looked at her handiwork. The treefort was surprisingly easy, and yet turned out well. "One last thing." she murmured. Floating around, she found some vines, and formed them into a ladder. She flew to where she left Snow. "Hey, Snow! I-" she stopped, noting her meditation. "Those books must be kinda heavy.... She shouldn't have to carry them all on her own." she thought. She grabbed all of them except for the open one, and flew back to the fort she made.
Snow suddenly felt herself bump into something inside her mind, and with that, her vision faded away. It simmered and shifted as if it was a boiling ocean before settling down and Snow found herself in a very bright forest. It was like a park forest, and she was in a large clearing. In front of her, a bright ball of light burned and shifted. Snow walked up to it, and heard it emitting a strange throbbing sound. She touched it and then there was a large explosion of light and Snow was flung back to the edge of the clearing. When she look up, there stood a pony that seemed to e completely made out of light, an alicorn to be more percise. Snow gulped as it approached her. When it got right up next to her, it extended a hoof to her. Snow looked at the hoof, almost scared of it, but she slowly reached for it and grabbed it. Then, her vision disappeared once more and she felt herself falling. She opened her eyes to find herself falling through trees, very painfully, and crashed down in the middle of Eluuna's fort, "Owww." She muttered.
Eluuna screamed and jumped back. "Whoa! Snow! Hi!" she cried, confused. "Are you ok?" she said. She looked up through the new opening. "...How... What?"
"I dunno." Snow muttered, "One moment I was meditating, the next I get some vision, the next I'm falling through trees."
"Well, luckily you landed right here. You would have been killed if you hit the ground.." said Eluuna, looking up. "It's kinda cool though, right?"
"Yep" she said simply. The room was made of a bunch of logs connected by strong looking vines and sap. It was a small room, and it smelt like pine needles.
