okay, I never thought I would say this, but can I be a mod again just so I can compete in this? it looks like way too much fun to pass up, I'd win that modeling contest for sure ;3
ok, not sure if this topic took just of from serious turn of sarcasm everywhere. anyway, what I have to say: You guys sound like some kind of government (Croatian for example). You just keep talking about thing that have happened , and not much about what will happen. Ok, Rarit E said himself that he's ready to change some of his modding methods if you guys tell him what to do and what not to do. Good approach: ok, you need to do xy stuff, and never every do xy stuff. Bad approach: what happened was out of procedure and there's lack of form 235, and you didn't insert your SRV number into form 353. (Wait, are we law school so we're looking into laws and procedures to find a loophole, or are we a brony community?) What happened happened. I think both Fluttershy and Rarit E have good intentions for the site. I don't care if Fluttershy was hired out of standard procedure, as long as he does good job. Same goes for Rarit E and for anyone else. Better have someone that's hired out of standard procedure, than someone that followed all the forms and later doesn't do his/her job. (even if standard procedure should be followed, but there are always extraordinary situations that have to step away from standard procedure (like if you're pilot in a plane, and you have a malfunction, and you know if you follow standard procedure, you'll crash the airplane, and if you improvise something, you might have chance to save the plane)).
Such is the nature of debates. "This is what my opponent did" as opposed to "this is what I propose we change." Since my name was mentioned, I'll just say that yes... I did apply, and yes I did get a position. Not the same one that Rarit E is in currently, but Fanfiction Mod, since the position became suddenly vacant. Anyway, that's not important. If ponies are calling for action, there's some form of reason for that call for action. However, it appears to be mainly certain members who have that problem. What about those who don't have a problem with Rarit E?
Now we're arguing semantics on an entirely unrelated matter. Methinks this thread has run its course. ~Locked~
