Rashall's journey to Manehatten (role play)

Rashall walks inside and gets his pack and cloak putting both of them on.

"Well then you ready to head out?" He asks Uniqua.

 

Uniqua stands up. "Yep. Only brought my scarf." She says, patting her scarf with a hoof.

 

Rashall smiles and start walking down the hill towards a road in the distance. The Western Road as it was known on maps would take them straight to the Shadowed Forest quickly, weather permitting.

 

Uniqua follows slightly behind, still trying to wake up.

 

They hit the road but a half an hour later and start heading west on it, soon enough the Shadowed Forest looms out of the thin ground fog that has yet to burn off.

"Almost to the woods, I must warn you though do not wander from the path or for that fact me," says Rashall matching his pace with Uniqua's.

 

"I don't stray off in new places. But okay." Uniqua says, looking at the light fog.

 

"The forest tends to be a bit cranky with unwanted guests, though since you know me it may think otherwise," says Rashall stepping past the line that divided forest and open plain.

 

"Cranky?" Uniqua asks.

 

"Oh yes these trees are alive in every sense of the word," says Rashall continuing on the road.

 

"Okay then." Uniqua says, following close by.

 

Rashall again drapes one of his wings, the right one this time round, over Uniqua. They both continue forwards down the road the tree's looming on either side.

 

Uniqua looks up at the tall trees. "Man, those are pretty tall trees." she says quietly.

 

"Yes and very very old trees at that, there is quite the story behind them," says Rashall.

 

"If it isn't trouble, mind telling me it? I'm always up for a good story." She says, looking at Rashall.

 

Rashall lets out a long sigh before saying, "My mother, Moondusk, left my home city with a large force of Eldar and Imperial troops. She came here to ensure and ancient foe of ours didn't take something of value. My mother succeded, but it cost her her life and the lives of those that fought along side her. Every tree here is esentially a grave marker the souls of the dead in turn took the for of the trees and protect those that live in the towns located further in," says Rashall walking on.

 

"Wow." Uniqua says, looking back up at the trees.

 

Rashall stays silent for a long while, memories came back to him and he tried to shut them out. A cold breeze came across him at that moment and he froze he knew that feeling anywhere.

"Uniqua down now!" Without waiting for a reply Rashall pushes her down hoping he didn't hurt her. The Shades talons rake across his chest, but only one manages to draw blood it goes somewhat deep Rashall simply grunts and then hits the shade in the face with his hind hooves and it disappears in a flash of light. Rashall falls to the ground smiling as he does so, he had been hunting that shade for weeks and now it was gone.

 

"W-what the hay was that?" Uniqua asks shakily, looking at Rashall. She gasps. "Oh, you're bleeding!" she says, pointing to his chest.

 

"Uniqua calm down it isn't tha... OUCH! Okay maybe it is that bad, medical kit is in my pack second largest pocket," says Rashall cringing at the pain.

 

Uniqua takes out the kit calmly. She looks through the kit. "Okay, my mom was a nurse, but I have no idea what some of this stuff is." she says, glancing at Rashall.
