"Heh, anything smaller than this place is comfortable. I'm only living here until I can afford an apartment." Uniqua sighs, shutting the door.
"Heh trust me I know, what would you do with this place then after you moved out?" Asks Rashall looking around.
"Sell it. It's in an ideal place, near most large businesses. A lot of business ponies would offer on this, and would offer some pretty good money." Uniqua says, walking into her large back room.
"You're just full of questions, huh?" Uniqua jokes. "I would move to one of the larger apartments on the west side. I hear they're pretty nice. I just don't need such a big house, living alone and all. Come, have a seat." She says, sitting down and waving a hoof around, signaling to her many chairs.
Rashall looks at all the chairs and then rummages through his backpack for a little bit until he finds what he is looking for. He pulls out a medium sized cloud that seems somewhat deflated, Rashall then speaks a strange word and the cloud looks as though he had just pulled it out of the sky. Rashall forms the cloud into a low yet comfy two pony couch and promptly sits on it. "Sorry I carry my own seating/bedding with me I don't like to burden others," says Rashall sitting on the cloud couch.
Uniqua looks at him quizzically. "Okay, but I have plenty of chairs, you know." she says, still looking at him strangely.
"Sorry it's just the way I am," says Rashall smiling and rubbing the back of his neck with his right hoof.
Uniqua smiles. "It's fine, really." Uniqua seems to be thinking to herself. "Pegasi always confused me."
"Heh good to know, so where will I be sleeping tonight?" Asks Rashall hoping to be shown to a bed soon.
Uniqua got up from her seat and led him up the stairs. As she walked down the large hallway, she pointed him to the bathroom, the study, and the guest room in which he would stay. After she showed him his room, she walked into the back room. Sitting on the bed, she says "This is my room. feel free to come in, just make sure you knock first."
Rashall simply nods and heads straight towards the bed slipping off his cloak and vest revealing his silver coat color. He then closes the door to the point where there is a thin sliver of light coming in and then lays down on the bed. "Well I guess I'll see you in a few hours, or tomorrow morning seeing as I'm very tired. If you need me just knock and come on in and gently nudge me," says Rashall finally closing his eyes for sleep.
Uniqua shuts her door and settles down on her bed. But she wasn't going to sleep yet. She reached her hoof under her pillow and felt around until she felt the smooth, slightly warm metal of her tell tale object. Pulling it out, she sets it on her lap and pushes the power button. She smiles as the screen comes to life, prompting her for her password. Her hooves clack against the keys that were made for any size hoof. As her screen fade to her home window, bunches of messages pop up on her screen. She takes her time to respond to every one of them, even carrying a conversation with some. The thing she was using was her laptop. Only the most important and smartest ponies owned one. Looking at the clock, she said goodbye to her friends. Shutting of her computer, she nestled under her silk sheets and drifted off to sleep.
Rashall wakes in the middle of the night wondering for a moment where he was, then he remembers that he's in Uniqua's house staying the night. He gets up from the bed and walks to the bathroom where he turns on the sink and splashes some water on his face and then fills a small cup with some water and drinks it down. After he dries off his face Rashall walks into the study and looks out the window looking up at the sky he wonders why Uniqua had offered to share her house with him though he welcomed it and would thank her in the morning before going to one of the hotels he didn't want to overstay his welcome.
Even from a distance Rashall heard Uniqua stir a little he walked over to the door and knocked just as the mare had said. "Uniqua you okay?" Asks Rashall cracking the door slightly.
Uniqua stirs and eventually sits up. Her mane a wreck, she squints into the darkness. "Yeah, Mm fine." She mumbles tiredly.
"Sorry if I woke you, just, I'm feeling a little homesick right now," says Rashall entering the room fully.
