Rashall goes to the stove and starts it up and then breaks out a skillet. After allowing the skillet to warm up Rashall pours the batter onto the hot skillet, a sweet smell immediately stirs from the batter quickly filling the entire kitchen. Rashall flips the sweetcake by tossing it into the air and then catching it in the skillet as it comes back down, he then puts the sweetcake on a plate and quickly makes a second for Uniqua. "Here you go, it's called a sweetcake something that I have a habit of making from time to time," says Rashall setting the hot sweetcake in front of Uniqua.
"W-well, it's your batter you used, so you should eat it." Uniqua says, loving the smell of the food in front of her.
Rashall smiles and starts to eat his sweetcake. "Thanks, the ingredients are very hard to find though and I used the last of them to make these two cakes for us," says Rashall.
Uniqua couldn't ignore the smell anymore. "Are you sure you won't eat mine? I have all this hay- I'll be fine."
He hardly gets the sentence out of his mouth before Uniqua is eating a forkful of the sweetcake. "Mmmm." is all she can get out, savoring the delicious cake.
"Haha! I knew you would like it, now then I suppose you won't want the rest of it," says Rashall with a smile.
Uniqua opened her eyes. "Hmph?" she mumbled, forgetting her mouth was full. Swallowing, she started again. "Well, I don't eat much for breakfast. If I were you, I wouldn't either. The food vendors here are pretty good. Best tofu dogs in Equestria."
"Heh I think I'll stick with the hay, you sure you don't want to finish it the cake isn't meant to be filling but instead is meant to warm you up for a long day," says Rashall.
Uniqua pushes the plate towards the center of the table. "I'm sure. Just leave a little room at least for the vendors. Give them a chance, you know?"
"Very well then, give me but a moment," says Rashall as he fishes around in his bag. He pulls out a small cylindrical object he opens it and puts the uneaten sweetcake inside and then seals the lid on tightly making sure to press all of the air out. "There that should keep it fresh until another time, I'm ready to go when you are," says Rashall shrugging on his pack.
Uniqua pulls on her scarf and puts on her empty saddlebags. Throwing her house keys and bit purse into it, she opens the door and steps outside into the chilled morning air. "Come on, the air's just fine." she says.
Rashall steps out next to Uniqua and lets the chilled air seep into his coat and smiles, "Feels like home, lead the way," he says at last.
Uniqua walks down the long pathway. "Okay, Manehatten seems like a big, mean city that chews up nice and spits it out. It is, but don't let that rain down on its potential. There's a ton of things to do, I'm sure we'll find some nice street performers." She rambles to herself more than Rashall.
"Ah that would help explain it a little, so where are we headed to first?" Asks Rashall still walking close by Uniqua.
"Nowhere." Uniqua states bluntly. "Who says we're going anywhere if there isn't anywhere to go? What if anywhere is just nowhere? What if-" Uniqua caught herself. "Eh heh, sorry. I get that from my dad. He was a poet that taught everypony to question everything. What I meant to say was, the fun of Manehatten is just wandering around. So many ponies know exactly where to go, they don't pay attention to the beauty."
