Etereo looked at the pony before her and blinked as she thought it over. His skill set wasn't very obvious as he wasn't buff, so he wouldn't serve as Guard duty. "What is your special talent?" She asked.
Eluuna had been very quiet during this part of the journey, (probably because her user had been gone the ENTIRE DAY.) and while she was a bit intimidated by the bunker, she wondered how a pony could have built such a place.
"Just a huge system of tunnels I designed myself." Midnight said to Firebreeze, "Shall we head down?" "Yes of course." Red said before heading over to a panel, and through a long, complex process, got the elevator moving. "Next stop, a thousand feet underground."
Iron heard the mare say what is special talent was and he pointed at his cutie mark "Well it is Engineering but more specifically Civil Engineering," Iron said proudly, "I know how to work my way from roads to dams,". Iron thought he is going to be a shoe-in for this job when he was nervous in the line he was just scared but he thought how many ponies has talent for building! Iron just thought about that and noticed there were tons of ponies inside the Workshop what if most of them survived and know they are all in Canterlot his good mood went back into nervous and he looked at the Mare waiting for her decision.
The elevator finnally stopped at long last, and when they stepped out, they were on a balcony overlooking a large plaza, where a surprising amount of ponies where bustling about. "There was of course a population in place already as a just in case."Midnight said,
"Excellent, You're probably the only civil engineer in Canterlot." Etereo said, with a small smile as she quickly jotted something down on the clipboard she was holding through her magic. "My lord will be pleased to hear this. I would like for you to start with fixing the roads leading to Canterlot. We need ponies to be able to get here more easily, but also if you can building a checkpoint at the entrance of the city would bring you much favor with the government." She added in before shooing him off, noticing the line behind him was growing quite large.
Eluuna's eyes were wide."There's so many of them.." she breathed. "I haven't seen this many ponies in a place since before the war..."
"Too be fair, there are farms and orchirds in here as well." Midnight said, "They serve a dual purpose, food, and clean, fresh oxygen to breath." "The only things missing are government, military, and drive to help the outer world. That is why I was looking for Midnight and as many soldiers as I could find." Red explained.
"I wonder if any of the many ponies here have heard of that-what was his name-Facade." Eluuna started giggling.
"I don't think so. I never even heard of him before the Canterlot Ruins." Red said, "Now, we've got a job to do, and that's prepare these ponies for rebuilding Equestria as the Democratic Republic of Equestria, as planned."
Iron got off the line and noticed he had no ponies to help him build the checkpoint and roads he didn't want to build everything by himself he turned around and found the line stretching far off and looked around again to see a group of big ponies around him "Facade told us to help you,". Iron noticed that the Facade was much was much more prepared than Iron thought "Well! Lets get to work but first let me do something!" Iron said he levitated some metal pieces and started to combine them making helmets and shoes for the workers "So the first thing we need to build is a checkpoint at the entrance of Canterlot so we know what ponies are coming in and out lets go!". The group started to go to the entrance and Iron had a perfect idea to make it but he needed alot of wood but that was no problem because there is wood all around him.
As Facade watched everything go to work, he felt proud of the ponies of Canterlot. Everyone always assumed that they were all snobbish and some were no doubt. But some were hard working ponies who climbed there way from farms and towns. They had dedicated their lives to achieve what they had, and he had no sympathy to those who dreamed big and did nothing. With a sigh of happiness he walked off leaving Etereo in charge, making sure to try and contact and loyal military members or even the Royal Sisters.
