Well, I'm bored, so here's something that I've been working on. Fair warning: it's boring. It focuses on character development and interaction, there's little action, no romance or sex, and the story takes its sweet time to unfold. Using an original character as the protagonist is probably a turn-off to some as well, but I felt that it would be the best way to tell the story. ...And, no, I don't have a day job that I can quit. <_<;
