(Sorry guys, Sun put the fillies somewhere safe. I didn't make that clear. :/) Sun sat still, without breathing for about 15 minutes. BOOM. She woke up with a blast and shot up. Frantically, she whipped her head around, then took off. She came back in about 2 seconds. "Oh! Now I remember. How are you?" she said happily. (Night!)
"I.........I need some time to recover." Shadow said as he layed his sword under a tree. " My body....it is.....not able to handle that masks strain for more than 20 minutes i used it for at least 25." Shadow had already layed on his side. "M.May i rest?" He asked as he past out. Some time passed before Shadow awoke. "Where do we go now Sun?" He asked as he picked up his sword. "Do you have any family we should check on, or some friends maybe?" (Better?)
(Sorry it took me so long to post again, things have been kind of crazy around here) Royal had managed to sneak up to the top of a building and managed to scrape together a makeshift guiliely suit and layed down at the edge of the building, overlooking the nearby park.
Sun looked around. "Seeing as you helped me, I see it's only fair to help you." With that, she grabbed Shadow Strider (Literally) and flew off to Canterlot.
Two changelings walked into the park, right into Royals sniping position. He levitated his quiver of arrows up next to him and locked his magic sights on the first one. This was a trick he had learned from his uncle while hunting timber wolves. When he didn't have a bow handy, he could launch the arrow with his magic. He took a breath, let out half, and took the shot. Before the second one could react, a second arrow struck it, causing it to join its insectoid commerade on the ground.
Sun ran into the Canterlot Park, glowing. Suddenly, she saw a few changlings. She grinned, and charged her horn.
"What..........whats going on?" Shadow said as he tried to understand why they went back to Canterlot. "I thought you wanted to get away from here, why come back?" Shadow looked around noticing that the number of changelings was still the same as before.
Royal saw two ponies run into the park. He saw three more changelings charge around a bush at them. He lined up the shots, and dropped them right in front if the ponies.
"Men, I'll be at the Park. Reports of changeling activity". That was 10 minutes ago Frozen Cleared the park from the west. Finally he almost got to the others but noticing a slight glint on a nearby building. Frozen then sent a royal guard signal flare universally known by almost everypony.
Royal saw the flare and pulled up his signl mirror. He signaled that it was all clear and the guard should head for the building.
"Look, I appreciate your assistance, but... her horn glowed, and she blasted all of the nearby changlings. They were safe... for now. "You are here of your own accord now." she said, poking at the bodies.
"No, i'm here because if i wasn't and i ever found out that something happened to you or anypony else in this town that i might have been able to stop i wouldn't be able to live with myself." Shadow looked at Sun. " I may look like someone who doesn't care about others, but the safety of others is what drives me to be stronger."
Sun looked at him, and her voice became a bit softer, a bit sweeter. "Well then. Come along and give me a hoof."
Shadow follows Sun." Do you want a hoof literally of figuratively?" Shadow asked as he followed behind hiss comrade
