That is a very odd... sub-religion. Never met anyone who didn't believe in God but did believe in the Bible.
I've pretty much grown up as a Christian, and I've gone through the whole Baptism, Communion & Conformation stuff as well related to that. I guess I'm pretty neutral about being my religion, since I'm a person who just likes to kind breeze her way through life. Although lately in the past few years I've been learning about different religions alot, and the concept of Taoism is very inviting. I'm actually planning on changing my religion when I leave home in the next few years, to see what other ones are like... You never know, there are some pretty interesting religions out there.
My great Grandfather was German and alive during and before WWII. He was a Social Democrat. A lot of people foolishly assume that the Social Democratic Party of Germany is the Nazi Party, but the SDP was actually the OPPOSITION to the Nazi party and nearly beat Hitler in his rise to power, but did lose by a narrow margin, hence why Hitler came to power. My Great grandfather despised Hitler, as did a lot of Germans. So no. Hitler wasn't a hero. Also he didn't pull them out of economic turmoil; he made it worse. The person that made it better was the current treasurer of Germany (forgot his name). If it wasn't for him, Hitler would have run the country aground; he wasted billions and billions of funds on the holocaust and the war, that led to famine, rationing, fake butter that you COULD believe wasn't butter, and so on. He did NOT pull Germany out of economic turmoil; he made it worse. If not for the treasurer all of the money would have been wasted on the war and the holocaust; only by diverting funds WITHOUT Hitler's knowledge was Germany saved. I have a large amount of German relatives who were alive during WWII, including my great-grandmother, my grandfather, my great-aunt, and so on, who all disliked Hitler even then. So... no, he was scum even to the Germans. Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
Well, look at me. Taking everything a teacher says to heart. I'll inquire to him about said Treasurer once break ends. Seems interesting.
Neat, I never knew that about WW2, so maybe I was right. Oh well. I always meant to find a religion. I just never looked for one that fits how I already live. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
I think this song sums up my view on religion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDubchjrz1I I believe that there are some things under this sun that cannot be understood. I would like to see mankind move from organized religion towards religion being something personal with each individual having unique beliefs. Once upon a time I hated most organized religion, now I realize blaming an entire religion for the actions of some followers is like blaming the knife for a murder. Religion is a tool and like most tools can be used for a number of purposes, both for good and for evil. The thing I really hate or extremists.
If I sold you an iPad on ebay and you received the box and opened it to discover nothing in the box, would you then say, "well, there could be an iPad in here, maybe I just can't see it."?
If you're trying to enforce your religion on us here, please don't. We all have a right to our own opinions.
Which, according to my theories is completely impossible. I can't even prove this world exists at all. The truth is, by all logical reasoning, it is impossible this world created itself from nothing. It's impossible that a being could exist before creation, and it's impossible for the world to always have existed. So obviously logical reasoning suggests that the world should not exist.
We will gain evidence of how the universe came to be in good time. I'm absolutely convinced God didn't create it, though.
Fine with me . Don't take what I am saying too seriously though, I am officially known as the king of bull philosophy. As for the existence of God, I have considered the theory that God may actually be the universe.
Let's not forget that Fate and Destiny fall into the same category. They can't be proven or not, but the follow the same principle that something, or someone, guides or moves us in a grand scheme.
I was born a Hindu and I believe in God mainly because of one reason: Why not? If God does exist, then I've chosen the right lifestyle and I'll be rewarded. If not, then I'll die anyway but I would've been brought up to do the right thing. I don't care whether people believe or not or how they believe, as long as every follows a moral code. And for those strong Atheists who think I'm talking horseapples and don't want to believe otherwise (I doubt I'll find anyone here like that as everyone here is awesome) if the dust cloud randomly exploded at the start and our existance is a random chain of events, there is still the possibility that some supernatural being(s) could exist.
Sorry, B-Dog, but you've found one right here. I pretty much won't accept anything like that. Y'all ain't turning me agnostic or theist.
