Hi everypony. Sorry you haven't heard from in a while. I have been working whenever I can on MLP RPG. I recently posted pony template revision 20 on my DA page and I'm currently working on revision 22 I believe. New to the template, I've went ahead and symbolized everything (I knew I was being horrendously inefficient somehow) so i can edit body parts individuality and it well effect every instance of that body part. Also just found out what masking is, which as it turns out, is very handing for iris handling, shading and hiding unneeded body parts such as horns and wings so you don't have to delete them from the template. I just need to add a generic main, tail, horn and wings and I can call the generic pony type template complete. Which can in turn can be used to create the other pony body type templates complete. 2 things I want to know about fla files however, first, is it possible to link color's between symbols in the Macromedia Flash 8? And second, can later versions of Flash (such as Adobe Flash CS5) open a Macromedia Flash 8 fla file, edit it, and save it as a Macromedia Flash 8 compatible fla file? (I worried that if somepony makes a new template using CS5, that I won't be able to use Macromedia Flash 8 to make new ponies with it) I have the story outlined and fleshed out in my head. I've also been developing the OC party leader a bit as well. I don't want to reveal any details about the OC party leader until I make a "Meet the..." type trailer. Also, I got the game engine to work the way I want it to, so I'm going to start working on a tech demo to show what my customized ruby engine can do. That's something I want to get out of the way so it will be easier to show any potential contributors what I'll need from them. Now for a bit of bad news, I won't be able to commit as much time as I want to for this project, because I have been employed by someone to ride around in an Ice Cream Truck. And when I say employed, I mean shanghaied, because A, I'm not getting paid, B, I don't get free icecream and C, I can't even buy any of the Ice Cream with money I already have. But for reasons I won't into to it's in my interests to stay with it. At least until the guy gets some pony pops that I can abscond with. As for music, it just keeps getting better and better, not only do I really need to update the filled music list, somepony finally made a song I can use for AJ's theme song! (what I had selected previously was made for Big Mac, not AJ.) And I got of music I can use, as a matter of fact, here's a DIR scan of the fold I keep all the music I'm interested in using. I mean seriously, the musical bronies are making scores long before I even need to ask for them! At this rate, I'll only need to request music for the themes of original characters.
