"We'll go," Lark said brightly, loosening her iron grip on Rowan's arm. He pulled away, looking frustrated and left the room, not meeting anyone's gaze. "What's up with him? He's acting even worse than usual..."
Miko smirked, patting Tez's back. "My dear, dear friend here made the decision of telling him she likes him."
“What did he say?” Lark asked, her eyes alight with curiosity. “I’ve never seen him romantically interested in anyone before!”
“Wow...” Lark said, leaning her head back. “I can’t believe you did that. I would never be brave enough to tell someone I liked them first, let alone Rowan.”
She hid her face in her hands, groaning. "I might as well just stay in the sea until Miko is better. She has you now, anyways."
"No, no. It's fine. I've learned to just accept things as they are. If he hates me, then so be it. It's not.. It's not the end of the world."
She smiled slightly. "Not too fancy, but fancier than usual. Also, it happens at night, so sleep should be.. ah.. whats the word?" Her lips pursed. "Plentiful?"
