His gaze settled on her reflection in the mirror and he was quiet for a moment, his head tilting before a small smile played on his face. "You look nice, Tez."
Tez met his gaze in the mirror, and something in her eyes seemed different. Nervous. Distant. "Thank you."
He met her gaze for a moment before he leaned back, looking up at the ceiling. "For a siren, that is."
Tez said nothing, her gaze dropping again. Miko shot him a fierce glare. "What is that supposed to mean?"
He sighed, looking back down at the two of them tiredly. "Yes, well, if you want me to leave, feel free to ask."
Miko opened her mouth to argue, but Tez intervened quietly. "It's alright. You can stay. You don't have to if you don't wish too, as you didn't seem too enthusiastic to join in the first place."
He squinted at the two of them. "I owe Lark a favor, so I don't really have a choice. I appreciate your compassion, though."
Tez shrugged, saying nothing more, but Miko spoke up. "That barely seems like a favor owed. She could have gone without you, but I invited you anyways." She huffed. "But you are coming with, I suppose. We'll leave after Lark is ready."
Miko frowned, suddenly looking hesitant. "Oh.. It's lovely, although.." Tez looked up, her expression changing to sympathy. "No worries, Miko she'll be alright. It is lovely. Then we can go."
Almost as if summoned, the door opened and Lark stepped out, tugging on the red fabric uncertainly. "Alright. We ready to go?"
Miko grinned as she stood, wrapping her arms around Lark. "Lovely!" Tez nodded slightly. "Yeah. I think we're all ready."
(Yoop!) They approached the foresty area, the vicinity lit with lovely, warm lanterns. It was decprated with string lights and all sorts of flowers. Many people were there, but it large enough to walk around and converse comfortably. Lively music was playing and people seemed happy.
Lark looked around, her eyes wide before she quickly kissed Miko's cheek in a spur of the moment action. "This is so cool!" Rowan looked around, his gaze gentle as he moved into the scene, his arms crossed.
Miko tugged on her hand excitedly. "Let's find something fun to do!" Tez looked around hopefully, her eyes intent before brightening and she crossed the area, where a girl a bit older than her grinned at her arrival, and they embraced, speaking warmly to each other.
