"Well that's alright. You'd be cute in anything, really. You have a nice face." It was apparent she was speaking, but none of the words registered in her mind.
She looked up at him, her eyes bright. A flush tinged her cheeks as she realized what she said. "Sorry."
"It's revitalizing," she replied. "There's new energy all around that help the plants flourish and animals live in good health."
He tipped his head back, squinting through the trees at the moon. “Huh,” he said, looking back down at her.
She shook her head, pulling him away from the crowds, though lanterns still lit the path and cherry blossoms hung overhead. Dark water could be seen in the distance. "Of course not."
