He frowned before reaching over and pulling her close to him, wrapping his arms around her waist and hugging her. “I’m pretty broken, Tez,” he told her, his voice quiet. “I know that’s not something you probably want to hear about a guy you’re interested in, but touching is really hard for me. There’s some things that I can’t tell you about, but they’re in my brain and it makes it difficult to be relaxed around someone. It was not your fault, okay? It wasn’t your fault. It was just me.”
He would feel her freeze for a moment as he hugged her, but it wasn't bad. A heavy flush crossed her face, but she turned away nervously. "A-Alright.. Okay. I understand. Don't worry. You're still my favorite."
