She gave him a sheepish smile, brushing back his hair. "I was supposed to be back last night," she said quietly. "We have a check in. They must be really worried."
She tucked her hair behind her ear before leaning down to give him a lingering kiss. "Meet me in the meadow? This afternoon? If I haven't been sentenced to death?"
He nodded slowly, his hand reluctantly leaving the side of her neck. "Alright.. I'll meet you there in the afternoon."
She gave him a small smile before pulling away. "See you then." She headed for the door and opened it, squinting in the early morning sun. Glancing over her shoulder, she gave him a wave before disappearing, flying away quickly.
He waved, before stretching out on the bed again, the warmth of the sun against his skin pulling him back to sleep.
Eden lay on her back in the meadow, having changed out of her old clothes. Today, she wore a pair of warm brown trousers and a loose white blouse. She looked up at the sky, her gaze thoughtful.
Sam approached the area, watching the treetops with his hands behind his back. His shirt was tan and the sleeves reached his elbows, where his tattoos peeked out. He had regular brown pants and was without his usual bag this time.
Her expression fell a little bit and she laid back, frowning. "No, I'm in quite a bit of trouble. But it's alright. They're just worried because some scouts have gone missing lately."
"I suppose," she said with a frown, looking up at the sky. "It just... I don't know. It feels very overbearing."
She glanced over at him with a ssmall smile. “Hey... would you want to come to the Glen with me today?”
