She took it, her fingers intertwining with his. “Yeah. Those rules are outdated anyway. We’d have to hide you from the Alyndar, though.”
She led him deep into the forest, her hand in his. They wound through the trees, the only light coming from the illumination of her wings. She approached a large rock face before turning to him. “Ready?”
He would feel the ground fall out from under him. They flew for a short while before he would feel it return. “You can open them.”
The sun shimmered through green spring leaves. White cherry blossoms flew through the air as a gentle breeze blew through the Glen. They seemed to be inside a giant crater inside of the mountain, covering several miles. Young pixies flew around, laughing deeply as they seemed to play some variation of tag. In the distance, a giant tree would be visible, shimmering with different colored Enryli of the pixies within.
She beamed, taking his hand and pulling him behind a nearby cherry tree. “I’m glad you think so,” she said, kissing his cheek. “So, keep an eye out for the Alyndars, okay? You’ll know when you see them. Stay away from most trees and if you see any bugs, hide.”
