“You barely know me, siren,” he said flatly. “Do not presume that because you’ve seen my smile that you now know my personality.”
He rolled his eyes. “Oh, so you do understand. I assumed you lacked the social cues to see that I was someone you didn’t want to be around.”
He rolled his eyes. “Oh, so you do understand. I assumed you lacked the social cues to see that I was someone you didn’t want to be around.”
He glared at her out of the corner of his eye. “Six of one, half a dozen of another, siren. I don’t want to be around you, so you shouldn’t want to be around me either.”
"I mean, I don't mind being around you. I find your hatred quite amusing. Besides, you've shown a gentle side a few times."
“I’m not mean,” he said sharply, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. “I’m perfectly civil. I just don’t make a habit of following someone around when it’s clear I’m not wanted.”
She blinked, looking around before flushing in embarrassment as she hid her face in her hands. "Ah.. I'm so sorry.. Please forgive me. I was just really worried about my friend. I'm just.. gonna go now."
“There’s a waiting room back the way you came,” he said stiffly, although his voice softened slightly. “It’s not very comfortable, but if you want to wait for her...”
He watched her leave with a small sigh before shaking his head and turning to leave, hesitating momentarily. He pulled aside a passing intern and pointed at Tez's back. "She's heading to the waiting room," he said in Elvish. "Bring her some tea or something, will you?" The intern nodded and hurried away.
