Briar sat up in bed sleepily, yawning tiredly. He looked down at the sleeping figure next to him and kissed her cheek. Checking a clock on the side table, he sat up suddenly, his eyes wide. He was late. He threw on a shirt and left the room after brushing back Eden's hair and grabbing his bag, flying towards the forest.
Briar relaxed, nodding to himself. "Good. That's what you told me yesterday too. I didn't get a chance to introduce myself. I'm Briar."
He sighed, flapping his wings slightly. "You met me yesterday. Well, to be fair, my girlfriend tried to kill you yesterday and I stopped her. Her name is Eden. Do you remember her?"
"Yeah. Eden. She wanted me to wipe your memory completely, but I... I don't know. I feel like you might not have been as guilty as it seemed."
He squinted at him, crossing his arms with a huff of exasperation. "Fine. Accept the fact that an entire species hates you and wants you dead."
Briar glared at him before a bronze Enryli began to pour from his palms. "Well, then, I might as well sweep your memories."
