He thought about it for a moment, tilting his head. “You don’t have to answer right now,” he said eventually, “but when we meet up tonight, I want to know your life story.”
He laughed lightly, draping an arm over her shoulders playfully and kissing the top of her head. "I want to know more about you."
They got to a split in the paths and he sighed, pulling away. "This is where we part ways, I think, but I'll see you tonight, right?"
"Mm. Love you too," he said quietly, studying her carefully, as if trying to memorize her, before pulling away, letting go of her hand. He headed into the forest, but paused and glanced back at her. "Don't forget: life story."
