Her eyes flickered to the scenery around, folding her hands in thought as she looked back at him with a bright expression. "They're quite lovely. The get kind of annoying when you try to sleep." She paused after a moment, brushing back her silvery hair self-consciously. "I wish you could see it.."
He paused, biting his lip in thought as he tipped his head back to look at the sky, barely visible from the trees. "I'd like to see it, but I don't see how. I don't think I could get that deep," he said, glancing down at her, his fingers brushing through her hair absentmindedly as they walked. "Do you have any way to communicate with them?"
Tez sighed thoughtfully, leaning into his touch adoringly as she carefully stepped over a rock. "I can't talk to them like you can, but they sing songs like us. You can call them by singing, sometimes." She frowned, crossing her arms. "I wish you could see my home.."
He watched her out of the corner of his eye, a frown on his face. His brows were drawn sternly and as her silvery hair streamed through his fingers, he leaned over and planted a light kiss on her temple. "I can try to figure it out," he said quietly, his gaze returning to the forest. "Maybe there's a way."
She felt her face warmthen with the kiss, blushing lightly with his words. Her hands folded as she considered him with a cocked head. "We don't have to.. I feel like you've done so much for me already and there's nothing I've done to pay you back."
He looked over at her sharply, his wet hair spraying droplets with the action. His expression was one of stern indignation and he frowned, his violet eyes tracing her features. There was a light scar on his lip that moved when he talked. "Tez, you have done way more for me than you can ever possibly know."
She blinked, obviously surprised by his sudden reaction. She reached for his hand, looking somewhat reassured. "I have? I didn't know that.." She went quiet before giving him a sly grin, her eyes brightening with the action. "You're cute when you're stern.
His fingers were cold, but they intertwined with hers instinctively, slightly damp from the rain. A small flush raced crossed his cheeks as his frown deepened, causing him to look slightly uncomfortable, his eyes stern. "I beg your pardon?"
She began to hesitate, her grip loosing nervously as she noted his uncomfortable look. She turned her head away, her brows furrowing, which he would have come to know as common with her when she worried. With a soft shake of her head, she dismissed herself. "Nevermind."
He considered her, the slightest tilt of his head the only thing revealing his confusion. With a small sigh, he stopped and turned her to face him, his hands on her shoulders initially before sliding to cup her neck gently, his fingers tangled in her hair and his thumbs resting just below her earlobes. "You don't need to hide your thoughts from me, siren," he murmured, leaning forward and kissing the hard spot between her furrowed brows. "I'm in love with every part of you, including your mind."
