She looked up at him, her expression stubborn as she placed her hands on his arms. There was small flush on her face, but her pale skin would make it noticeable. "I don't want to say anything if it makes you uncomfortable."
He exhaled, tipping his head back to look up at the sky for a moment before his gaze returned to her. "Tez," he said, his voice gentle. He leaned in and kissed her cheek softly, his hand coming up to rest on the opposite jaw. "You are the first person I've loved in a long time." He kissed her other cheek too, his voice low and slightly rough in her ear. "You have made me happy again." He kissed the underside of her jaw lightly. "You have made me feel like maybe life could be good." His lips found hers and he brushed back her hair as he pulled away, his eyes intense. "You can do no wrong in my eyes. Okay?"
"Faen a'hmeit," she murmured under her breath, watching him with wide and loving eyes. She was blushing, and kept her eyes on his. After a moment she exhaled, squinting at him stubbornly. "Stupid," she teased lightly, and it would be obvious she didn't mean it rude and it was more playful. "You made me all flustered because you're in love with me and I'm in love and everything is perfect right now."
He laughed out loud, a low, almost growling chuckle, his face looking years younger with the change in expression. His hand came up to brush her hair back before he kissed her again, slow and lingering, his nose brushing hers. "Is it a bad thing?" he teased playfully, his face inches from hers. "That you're flustered? I can feel your heart beating."
Her flush deepened, a small squeak was emitted from her in embarrassment, and she took a quick breath, watching him as she felt her heart flutter. Her eyes were wide, and she cocked her head. "Well.. I don't know.."
He paused, his frown returning until he pulled away, his hands sliding down before they rested on her shoulders. He watched her carefully, his brow furrowing. "I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I?"
He gasped in surprise, his eyes widening for a moment before softening as he closed them. His hand came up and ran through her hair while the other one wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
She rested her hand on the arm that was on her waist, her other hand brushing his jaw as she kissed him. "I love you," she murmured between kisses. "I love you."
"I love you," he replied, slightly breathless, his voice low and husky as he shifted to kiss a line along her jaw slowly and hesitantly.
She tilted her head for him, holding him close. She tugged on his hand after a moment, sighing slightly. "We should head home."
He frowned, pulling away slightly, his brow furrowing again, although this was an expression of concern rather than indignation. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked tentatively, studying her worriedly.
She laughed warmly, giving him a quick kiss. "Definitely not, Row. That was absolutely lovely. It's just that we're in the middle of the woods and I'd rather be kissing you at home.'
He relaxed, exhaling slightly as he nodded to himself. This, at least, he had not messed up. "Good, good," he murmured, squeezing her hand as if to reassure himself that she was still there. "Thank you."
He kissed the top of her head as they approached the building, his wet hair dripping with water. "I really do love you, Tez."
