He looked hesitant, but nodded. "You have to really focus on the rock," he said, his voice quiet. "And imagine you're picking it up."
She watched him for a moment and her smile faded as she looked back down at her fingers, saying nothing.
She nodded slowly, flipping through the book as if looking for something to distract herself with. "Thanks."
The Alyndar was passing by them and resting a calming hand on Sam's shoulder. "Can you two show me what you've done?" she asked gently.
Eden tugged on her hair, her brows furrowing as she read an excerpt, her Enryli slipping from her fingers. "Here, Sam, try this one."
