She sat up at the table again, resting her head on her hand as she flipped through the book again. “Elemental magic is just so exciting, you know? You can literally control the world.”
They walked up the path, Eden's hands in her pockets as she looked around thoughtfully. "They build your house based on your blood," she explained. "They're able to read your preferences and desires, and they build the house accordingly."
"Mm hm," she said brightly, opening her hand. Golden Enryli floated upwards and she made a ball with her magic, tossing it idly. "They do a lot of research with it. It's normally done with Enryli, but I'm pretty sure they'll use your blood instead."
"Yeah, well, let's see if it meets your expectations," she said, gesturing to a house at the end of the path. "That one's yours."
"It will be," she said, opening the door with one hand. Inside, the room was wide and open, and from the floor to the ceiling was bookshelves, packed with tombs and references. There was a desk right by the window, overlooking the path, and there were quills neatly aligned with the edge. Cupboards were available, intricately carved with swirls. Plants hung from the ceiling in terra cotta pots and the air smelled vaguely of honeysuckle.
He looked pleased with the house, but there was a hint of uncertainty with him, he turned to Eden. "It's lovely."
