Ruh Roh (One on One)

She laughed slightly, pulling her hair back.

"I know you pretty well, Sam."

 

"I don't know," she admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. "I mean, it was something that affected a lot of pixies here, but it wasn't your fault. It wasn't your doing."

 

"You're a good person, Sam," she said quietly, shaking her head. "I know you are."

 

She returned his smile as they got to the house.

"Of course."

 

“See you, Sam,” she replied lightheartedly, flapping her wings. “Have a good night.”

 

She fluttered her wings before taking off, flying away before she disappeared around the corner.

Rowan was still in his sleep, his mouth parted slightly as he breathed quickly.

 

Rowan didn't react to her awakening, his brow furrowed as he slept fitfully.

 

His blonde hair was soft under her fingers, but his breathing was quick and his face was pale.
