"Mm. You just heard a bunch of pixies singing. As for the light, that was just so I could see where I was going without being hit by tree branches."
She looked a little embarrassed, leaning against a nearby oak. "What can I do? Like, with my Enryli?"
She bit her lip, looking around for inspiration. "Uh... well, right now I'm working on my fog unit. It's... difficult, to say the least. It requires a lot of concentration."
She gave him a small smile before closing her eyes, placing her hands together. She was silent for a few moments before her hands began to glow, the light matching the same golden of her eyes. As he watched, slow fog began to gradually roll in from the gloomy forest, covering the area.
A nearby crow cawed and Eden's eyes flew open and the fog fell away instantly, retreating into the woods. She groaned in frustration, snapping her fingers agitatedly and letting off a few sparks. "Ugh. It's so hard!"
She laughed in embarrassment, shaking her head. "I've done it so much better in practice," she said, flustered. "Of course, there aren't any birds in practice..."
She pursed her lips, thinking carefully. "Well," she said hesitantly, "basically, there are hundreds of schools of Enryli for pixies. Our magic is always growing, as I've said, so our areas of expertise are too. My 'main' Enryli, I suppose you'd call it, is solar. I channel energy from the sun and use it to help me carry out various tasks. With my solar magic, I can control flames or work with light and energy. It can make for some pretty... flashy tricks."
"Right. Or... I guess types might not be the right word for it. But there are different... areas, I guess? It's not, like, written out or anything. The line is pretty blurry. But, you know, there are teachers who have mastered the skills that I'm trying to learn, and they all seem to follow a general path."
