He sighed, standing up. "Nothing."
She looked up at him sleepily, sitting up. "Is everything okay?"
He nodded, watching her thoughtfully. "Of course."
"You seem... off.Uncomfortable," she said, rubbing the back of his neck. "You sure you're okay?"
He nodded, sitting down. "You just said some things last night."
She seemed concerned, pulling her knees to her chest. "I did?"
He was quiet for a moment. "You told me you loved me."
She blinked. Whatever she had been expecting, that wasn't it. "I did?"
"Yeah. You did."
She was silent, looking confused. "I... I see."
He was quiet as well, looking down. "I'm sorry."
She blinked before sitting up, shaking her head tiredly. "Why are you sorry?"
He shrugged. "I.. I don't know."
She considered him, her head tilted. “Sam, do you love me?”
His brows furrowed. "I.. Why?"
"I want to know," she said, studying him intently.
He hesitated, wringing his hands. "Well.. Of course, Eden."
She blinked in surprise, pulling her hair back. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yeah.."
She squinted at him, tilting her head. "You... like... you 'love me' love me."
