Sam flushed slightly. "Well, not really.." Tez cocked her head, wrapping her arms around Rowan. "I think Row is pretty smart, too."
Rowan looked down at her, kissing her head lightly. "You don't have to defend my honor. Don't worry."
Sam glanced at her, his head cocked. Tez leaned in, pretending Rowan couldn't hear her as she whispered to Eden. "Between you and me, he thinks I'm defending his honor."
He sighed, rubbing her back slowly as Eden gave a hesitant smile. "Well, we better go," she said, turning to Sam. "Class starts soon."
Eden followed him, looking back over her shoulder curiously. Rowan rubbed her back slowly, frowning. "That was weird."
Eden turned to look at Sam, her hand on his chest. "Are you okay?" * * * "Probably," he said slowly, frowning at their backs.
He offered her a small smile. "That was a little frightening." *** She nodded, turning around and pulling on his hand.
"Nope. Some crazy elf and his siren girlfriend is going to come out of the woods and try to shoot you."
