"Hm.. I suppose so."
"C'mon. Where do they live?"
"Just outside of town, luckily."
She relaxed. It had evidently been worrying her. "Good. That's good."
He nodded. "Yeah. It's private property as well."
“Oh, I’m glad. It wouldn’t be good for you to go into town.”
"Yeah.. I know."
She glanced at him, her eyes gentle. “That won’t be forever.”
He kept his eyes down. "I know.."
“You’ll be able to go back. Once it all dies down.”
"It makes me nervous.."
“We’ll go together,” she said gently. “Okay?”
He nodded. "..Okay."
She gave him a small smile before taking his hand again.
He sighed, pulling a key from his pocket. "This is to their house."
She gave him a concerned look. “Are you going to be okay to do this?”
"Hopefully."
“We can do it some other time.”
He shook his head. "Today."
She hesitated before kissing his cheek. “You’re pretty brave.”
