He stiffened slightly, his muscles tensing before he relaxed with a small exhale, his arms wrapping around her and cupping the back of her head, his fingers in her hair.
He was shaking slightly and he exhaled, pulling her close. "I'm sorry I got so angry and said those terrible things. I don't believe it. I swear."
He was quiet, feeling guilt seep in slowly. "You're all I have, Tez. I couldn't possibly see you as any less than wonderful."
"No. I just... I have a really awful temper. I get frustrated easily and I know how to be sharp enough to really hurt people."
She buried her face in the crook of his neck. "I'll try to understand then.. Maybe I'll be able to actually help?"
She pulled away to look at him, her eyes adoring. She sighed, her hand cupping his jaw. "I want to help when I can."
