He looked back at her, one brow raised. "You want to?"
She nodded. "Can I?"
He hesitated before nodding slowly. "I suppose..."
She got up, looking excited. "Oh, good!"
He gave her a small smile, extending a hand to her.
She took it, her eyes bright. "Where are we going?"
"Towards the mountain colonies," he said, grabbing a coat for her.
She nodded slowly. "Is it cool?"
“They’re not friendly. But I suppose it’s cool enough.”
She nodded slowly. "It'll be fun, I think."
“You just want to spend time together.”
"Yeah, that too."
"You're not subtle."
She grinned at him. "I wasn't trying to be."
"I see. Well, you did well."
She squeezed his hand. "Lovely."
"Lovely," he agreed, kissing her cheek as they left. "Let's get going."
She nodded, pulling the coat on.
