Ruh Roh (One on One)

He looked up, evidently preoccupied.

"Oh, hey. I, uh... I thought you'd still be asleep."

 

He shook his head, but it was in thought.

"Yeah. I'm okay. I'm sorry I wasn't here when you woke up."

 

"I just had to get some air," he said quickly, stepping towards her, his brows furrowed. "I'm... I'm sorry."

 

"What?" he asked, his eyes widening as he stepped towards her.

 

He stepped forward quickly, taking her hands.

“Tez, you were...” He laughed embarrassedly, shaking his head. “You... being with you was absolutely wonderful. Really.”

 

"Of course. I love you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there this morning, it's just..." He ran his fingers through his hair, looking embarrassed.

"I'm just not used to so much..."

 

He cupped her neck in his hands, a new ease in his body as he kissed her back.

"Thank you."

 

He shifted slightly, not nearly as tense as he would have been a week prior.

"I... when have you seen me flustered?"

 

“Ah,” he said with a slight flush. “Right.”

 

He kissed her cheek decisively, squeezing her hand.

“I love you.”
