She turned his face back, one eyebrow raised before shifting to kiss his neck, her hand on the side of his jaw.

"Do you not want to kiss me?"

 

"Hm," was all she said, her hand curling in his shirt. "That's good to hear."

 

Her fingers ran through his hair and she murmured something but said nothing more.

Eden had left him without a backward glance, going to tend to the children.

Rowan's arms were wrapped around her waist in sleep, his forehead on her shoulder.

 

He mumbled in his sleep, pulling her closer in a warm embrace.

 

He shifted sleepily, pulling away for a moment to stretch, his eyes fluttering.

"...siren."

 

He mumbled sleepily before opening his arms to her.

"C'mere."
