She released him and nodded, straightening up without a second thought of the awkwardness of the situation. "I will. Stay here, okay?"
She gave him a small smile before flapping her wings and taking flight, speeding off and disappearing into the woods almost immediately.
She didn't return for some time, but when she came back, she seemed slightly out of breath, holding a small box in her hands, her hair disheveled.
She opened the box gingerly and set a small, lavender sphere in front of him. The surface was aerated and it was topped with what looked like whipped cream.
She pursed her lips, tilting her head. "I don't know your foods very well," she admitted. "So I don't really know how to compare it for you."
She flushed slightly, looking a little embarrassed. "Eat the whipped cream separately," she said quietly.
It tasted thicker than regular whipped cream, almost like a mousse. It tasted vaguely of lavender with a touch of sweetness. It had a very delicate flavor.
