He looked down at her with a smile, kissing her hair. “I missed you too.”
She grinned at him. "I missed you too."
He pulled down a few plates, pouring the sauces into the pot. “So, tell me everything.”
She blinked, shrugging. "It wasn't that interesting."
"I'm sure that's not true," he said, stirring the noodles.
She shrugged. "It was kind of like our community. A bit more rural."
He spooned some noodles onto the plate, passing it to her. "Did you have fun?"
She nodded slowly. "A little bit. Thank you."
He kissed her cheek before gesturing to the table. "Go sit."
She did as he asked, her eyes brightening. "What did you do while I was gone?"
He shrugged, a little embarrassedly as he came and joined her. "Not much."
"Anything?"
"Nope," he said quickly, passing her a fork.
She frowned, cocking her head as she watched him.
He frowned, looking up at her. "What?"
She looked back down. "Nothing."
He sighed, shaking his head. "I drew."
He glanced up. "You did? Can I see?"
He frowned, resting his head on his hand. "I'm not very good."
"It's okay if you don't want to show me."
