Ruh Roh (One on One)

He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"I really did miss you."

 

He brushed her hair back and put an arm around her.

 

He kissed her temple.

"You must be tired."

 

He took her hand.

"C'mon. Let's get you to bed."

 

He frowned at her disapprovingly before sighing.

"They're in the bedroom."

 

He frowned, rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's embarrassing."

 

He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's a little embarrassing."

 

"Maybe some other time," he said evasively, opening the door. "Okay?"

 

The bedroom was the same as it always was, but there were papers on his desk. He flopped onto the bed, reaching out for her.

 

He kissed her forehead.

"I'm so glad you're home."
