A small smile crossed her face and she took off her shoes to stand in the water. "Well you're handsome."
He laughed slightly, shaking his head. “Tez, I’m covered from head to toe with scars. I’m not handsome.”
She glanced back, coming over to him and kissing his cheek, her expression kind but stubborn. "I think you're handsome."
His hand rested on her waist and he looked down at her, one brow raised wryly. “Yes, but that’s you.”
He kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back slowly. “You’re sweet. Can you show me the whistling?”
The temperature didn't seem to bother her. She disappeared under the water and there was silence until the spine along her back broke the surface, a high, chittering sound following.
He blinked in interest before reaching into his pocket, pulling out a small vial and drinking it before following her.
It was different underneath. Surprisingly clear and bright. Below him he would see corals and sea creatures that were bright and colorful, along with arching rock formations and undiscovered caves and crevices.
