Ruh Roh (One on One)

“You won’t just be in trouble with the humans, Sam,” she said, looking around anxiously. “An attack of this size without authorization is against our laws.” She coughed slightly, extending a hand to him. “C’mon, let’s get out of here. I can’t breathe.”

 

She looked around at the flames, looking nervous.

“I’m not going to leave you. Come with me.”

 

She opened her mouth to speak before coughing again, covering her mouth.

“Sam, please.”

 

She tensed in surprise but followed, flapping her wings to clear the air.

 

She took a deep breath, turning to him.

“Come on, Sam. Come back with me.”

 

“Please,” she said, her brows furrowing. “Please come back.”

 

She hesitated before taking his face in her hands.

“Sam, please. Please come home.”

 

Her eyes narrowed and she crossed her arms.

“I’m not leaving until you do.”

 

She followed, crossing her arms stubbornly.

 

She continued following him before talking.

“Sam.”
