"Do you regret it?"
"Of course not."
"But it's gross."
"Not with you."
"Yes with me."
"Never with you."
She sat on the couch. "Yeah, right."
He raised an eyebrow, studying her thoughtfully. "How could I convince you otherwise?"
"Eat your toast."
He squinted at her before eating slowly.
She nodded slowly before leaning her head back.
He considered her with a furrowed brow. “I love you.”
She looked back at him, her eyes adoring. "I love you too.'
“Don’t you want the rest of your toast?”
She nodded, getting up sitting down at the table again.
He finished his toast, stretching slightly and groaning from his wounds.
She glanced at him, saying nothing as she ate.
He frowned, looking down at himself. “This sucks.”
She reached her hand across, opening it for him. "I'm sorry."
He took it, kissing the back of her hand. “Don’t fret. It’s not your fault.”
